Age of Empires III coverage *warning graphics load time on d

This is where you can discuss your homework, family, just about anything, make strange sounds and otherwise discuss things which are really not related to the Lancer-series. Yes that means you can discuss other games.

the game looks very good. i'll bet that will bring in visitors as lots of people like AOE.

(btw, you posted the same picture twice)
and couldn't you have made links? i mean, everyone else at the forums puts links for pictures...

i did not use any photoshop on this (except to cut the surrounding page off) whatsoever...just a simple edit of the URL...its fascinating how easy it actually is to name things after they are made
i mean...all teh link is to this forum is a link to the actual forum...and the name is made depending on what the url says....fascinating
did this sig make sense? email me at [email protected] to report my sense!

Sorry but, YES! YES! YES! YOU ARE COVERING THIS!

I remember AoE one, first computer game I ever truly got into. Still play one, two made some improvements though. Those are the only games I can run on my parents' computer so we LAN those a lot. Ahh, good times, good times....

My hatred of AOE, and the clone Empire Earth is boundless. It even surpasses my urge to throttle that frog in the adverts with the "funny" music.

tell me...why do you hate it so much?

Post Sat Jan 08, 2005 2:26 pm

Absoultely yes. Would this be only AOE III coverage, or I and II as well?

Post Sat Jan 08, 2005 2:32 pm

I really liked Age of Empires. Good game, not bad graphics...Civ. III's better but AOE isn't too shabby. the new game looks pretty good.

Cover it. AoE is a very good game. AoE 3 seems to surpass its previous in quality.

Post Sat Jan 08, 2005 3:50 pm

AoE vs. Civ? That's like comparing apples and Froot Loops. Sure, they have *some* commonalities - they're both strategy games and fruity flavoured things, respectively - but the differences far outwigh the similarities. Unless AoE 3 is going to incorporate some sort of turn-based world map thing or something. Whatever.

Either way, I'd support TLR covering it. Looks cool.

AoE games get too repetative for me. So I went to games like Shogun, Medieveal, and now Rome total war. Now those are REAL strategy games...

Hmm, I haven't played any of the AoE series, but they are popular by all accounts. Meh, it could potentially be a market for it on TLR, but isn't it reasonable to assume that there are already a plethora of AoE gaming sites considering the series' popularity? That will make things more difficult for TLR.

Rome: Total War *is* a great game by the way. Just thought I'd mention it .

All I gotta say it is about fricking time! Maybe this means that somewhere, some geek at MS/DA is planning on improving FL? In any case, yes, please do cover AoE III.

They've been working on this for a couple of years. They only just announced it...something to do with hype I think.

Maybe a top secret FL project is underway....Unlikely but maybe lol.
