Internet Explorer Problem

I noticed today that I was having a large problem with IE 6. I use firefox mainly, but there are some pages that cannot load properly without IE. Whenever I open IE it loads the home page, then immediately goes to the "cannot display server" page and refreshes itself constantly so that you can't use it to browse at all. Scans using Adaware 6 (updated) and eTrust Antivirus have yielded no results. Help!

Well, if you have a router unplug one of the links and put it in a different one, other than that try to restart your computer.

I'm on dial-up- will try restart momentarily

That is weird, firefox has a setting that refreashes its automatically if you want it to but not IE..If a reboot dosent fix it then i would uninstall FF and reset the windows programs back to default and try to connect again..Just really weird about the refreash thing..

I would advise checking your IE settings, and then checking your firewall (if appropriate).

I tried FireFox and my computer would not restart after I loaded it.

Have tried restarting, it does nothing to help. I don't have firefox set as the default browser, so that shouldn't be a problem either. I am currently in the process of installing SP2 in hopes that that will do something.

SP2 will cause more problems than it will solve. You'll see!
