Surveys

This is where you can discuss your homework, family, just about anything, make strange sounds and otherwise discuss things which are really not related to the Lancer-series. Yes that means you can discuss other games.

Surveys

Among some jokes i receive everyday, I received a link to one off those "Get payed to take surveys" sites.
Now this moring I found out ore or less how much I'll be paying for my studies. Extra money would be more than welcome. So I was wondering...these survey stuff...is it safe to do it? and worth it?

im glad i got here before esq. i'd stay very very far away from those stuff that pay you for nothing.

Why?

@sw, i am fairly conservative in my views so sometimes might come across as narrow minded. i just don't trust 'em, full stop, can't fully explain it though i'll try.

i like to get up and go to work, to see the people i work with and for, to know what it is i am actually doing and feel at the end of a hard days graft that i can look at what i did and see the fruits of my labour. a little idealistic?---sorry! these surveys are too detatcehd to trust. i don't know anything about where the info ends up, or why it was wanted for real. at at the end of the day where is the achievement --- getting paid?--- well there's lots of ways to do that without being so unsure of its value that you have come here for advice. in other words, i think your very need to ask the question question is part of the answer.

on the other hand, money is money and i don't really know how much each cent means to the people who visit here, plus it aint' as though you are doing anything illegal (i think). it's up to you, everything else is only opinion.

I keep telling you people; Trust no-one ! Let's just say that you gave this company your demographic information sw (and presumably a bank account or address for the payments). Now how can you be sure whether or not they will actually pay you, or even what they will do with your personal information? Probably sell it to the highest bidder. The sale of people's addresses and personal details are common these days, which is why people often receive personally addressed junk mail. Where do you think they get this information from? Companies sell it to them! Even some insurance companies share your personal information with third parties. I wouldn't trust this company, even if they only want general demographic detail (ie. height, weight, interests, age ,etc). Still, it's up to you.

I tend to stay middle of the road on these things..im not a firm beliver everyone is out to do harm to me nor do i give trust freely without first investegateing the event to take place..Read the privacy statement first then consider where you got the link second..ie: msn site..and go from there..i have known a few people who have done what your talking about and i think it was around 5 or 10 dollars each and they were payed for one completed ,though i do not remember the company name. sorry..Just my 2 cents..

Reading the privacy policy is *always* a good idea but, depending upon the site, you can't always trust them. For example, would you trust a site with a privacy policy that was being hosted on "Geocities"? I wouldn't.

Thanks guys

@Druid...yea I can see what you mean, but working and studying full time is not an option. At this stage I'm thinking of getting a job and studying part time...you take longer, but you can pay for it easier. On the other hand if you study full time you finish faster and can start a proper job sooner.
If that made sense at all...
Oh well I'll see what happens, have to get my results first though
