Speaking of eggs in a sandwich.....

Old variation of egg salad sandwich, not quite as sophisticated as ssjag's

1) Finely chopped hard boiled eggs (1 per sandwich to be made)
2) Either blue chees, roquefort or gorgonzola cheese finely curmbled, (approx 4 oz per serving)
3) Mayonnaise (2 to 3 tablespoons per serving)
4) Finely minced onion and celery (1 tablespoon each per serving).

Mix all ingredients in a bowl

Spread on your favorite sandwich bread either toasted or plain to your personal liking (I like it toasted for this one).

My favorite is: some butter on black bread (unfortunately, AFAIK, you don't have any decent black bread in your rotten West ), some salt, and LOADS of garlic. Perfect not only for cold, but also before kissing

Life is only given once ... and most often by accident

Indy - I agree; some nice "Danish Blue" or "English Stilton" really perks up a dull sandwich .

also it is hard to say no to a good reuben *drools* only thing I eat that has sauerkraut near it or on it
for those who dont know
rueben- corned beef, swiss cheese, thousand island dressing, sauerkraut on grilled rye bread (also good on sourdough) served hot messy but very tasty

A good quality BratWorst Sausage an HOT mustard is required for the proper enjoyment of Saurkraut. The bun shoud be Pumpernickle but they are difficult to find.

spinnacer: I am so sorry your mother tortured you as a child and robbed you of the adult experience of enjoying a good saurkraut.

Harrier: WTF are you talking about? A mashed egg and tomato laid out in the sun for several hours? Don't ants get on that? or does that make it better? I've known you for a long time and now I wonder if I know you at all.

Explain what is so good about a half rotted egg and tomato in acid etched aluminum foil.

Also, has anyone tried the Whole Roasted Wild Boar Hero yet?

Hard-boiled eggs sprinkled with Hungarian sweet paprika are associated with picnics in my family as well .
