''Holy Toast'' on Ebay?

This is where you can discuss your homework, family, just about anything, make strange sounds and otherwise discuss things which are really not related to the Lancer-series. Yes that means you can discuss other games.

''Holy Toast'' on Ebay?

Well... what can one say about this article? "Only in America" comes to mind . Still, it's crazy stuff *shakes head in bewilderment*. Thoughts?

why mary? other than giving birth to jesus, she didnt do much

I think this is rather sad actually. Its a piece of toast that just happens to have what looks like a face on it. That $99million bid better be a hoax.

Holy Cheeses !
The Cheese Mary Sandwich has be sold for 28'000 $ (!! - this is no hoax) by the Online-Casino GoldenPalace.
SpiegelOnline had an article six days ago (17.11.04) about all a tradition of famous cheese sandwiches. Hilarious. Even if this article is in german you may have a look at it an click the links - most of them asre to english sites.

... Visions of Mary are the most frequent means for most "commoners" ... people who are not ordained members of the Church ... to find themselves in close and direct communication with the divine.

I've suspected that the frequency by which these sightings occur is a sign of the stress being felt by ordinary people in their regular lives by everything that is going on in the world.

When times are uncertain, most people's faiths are put to the test and those who have strong faith or who have deeply ingrained religious backgrounds look for signs of divine intervention to help them through their difficulties.

Its not "sad" that the lady is selling the sandwich....Its a great marketing gimmik for some "free money"...i think it is sad that someone might actually buy that thing.....and for 3,000.....thats just insane....(i use that term loosely)

now if you will excuse me...i have to go make my OWN burned face sandwich...my daughter saw me reading that article and NOW wants a grilled cheese....HEY maybe mine will have MOSES on it

what do you think that could net? 15, maybe 20k? lol

People even sell their virginity on ebay! Ask my friends! With that aside, I've seen Cardboard Box!!Like new!!

But seriously, I love ebay, My dad just bought a Cobra Daytona on eBay for ~60 k with about a real worth of 80 k

Not just a rolling chassy, the whole package.

Ebay= $10 Hitchhikers guide to galaxy... $1.95

Other than that I think its and ingenious way to make money by selling stupid stuff to people while not getting out of your chair to go to an auction house.

Christmas, is that a BF1942 mod or something?

@ ff
your post is making proof to the whole universe (this is TLR, isnt' it ? ) two things (see my post from 11/23):

1) It's awfully complicated to calculate in pound instead of Dollars or Euros
2) british are always at least two days behind the rest of the world
