Half Life 2 or San Andreas? (or other)

This is where you can discuss your homework, family, just about anything, make strange sounds and otherwise discuss things which are really not related to the Lancer-series. Yes that means you can discuss other games.

well then upgrade

Or you could be like me. I wait at least a few months until the new components that are optimized/at least compatible with the game that just came out come out or drop in price, then the game has actually dropped in price. That way I save money, play the same game on a better, less expensive system, and still have money for still more older games. Jeez, if you want to know how delayed my gaming is (in some ways), the only two games I've ever bought when they were released were Battlefield 1942 and Rise of Nations (BF is awesome but RoN is a piece of junk). If you want to spend the extra money fire away (I'd go for HL2) but there is always the option to wait. You don't always have to have it the week it comes out.

If you cant upgrade and your PC cant run HL2, or runs choppy, do yourself a favor and get San Andreas. It has framerate problems but they are very small and rare, and only last a few seconds when you do run into them. Its also about how well your PS2 is cared for, if you clean it and make sure its in good condition you shouldnt run into any slowdown at all.

Get GTA if you pc can't hardle HL2.

Post Sat Nov 20, 2004 1:34 am

how about instead of buying games, buying components for your pc?

Post Sat Nov 20, 2004 2:58 am

I'm biased, go for San Andreas. It will keep you going so long you can save up to buy better parts for your PC, HL2 will have come down in price, and then you can run it.

I will second the frame rate problems. But the game itself and its storyline more than make up for its problems.
