I'm 5"6". But i am certainly not intimidated by people larger than me(which is most). I have had all the stupid and immature comments about my height but just brush them off.

You guys don't know that I'm 6' 6" (possibly more)?!? Sheesh, I posted that in another thread AGES ago. No-one listens to me . As I recall, The only person who may be taller than I is SpaceNut who is around 6' 7"

Well Esky, I'm darn close, and not done growing yet. I would guess I will hit 6' 7" or 6' 8" by the time I'm done, but you never know.

165 \ 2.54 = 64.96 inches \ 12 =5.41 feet

I'm only 5'7 and 145lbs....(have no idea what that is in metric...sorry ).

I never get crap from anyone because of my height...and taller people don't scare me either....the only things in the world that scare me are Needles, Clowns...( yes CLOWNS), and arachnids..(spiders). Tall people are not intimidating for the simple fact, if one wanted to start some crap, (the wonders of martial arts) i was taught to ignore the size and go for the knee caps lol ...no seriously...just because someone is taller does not mean better....think of the shorter football players...they are lighter and faster than the big boys...(aerodynamics lol )...gives us "vertically challenged" people hope

heh, DSQrn, you have no idea the amount of crap tall guys often get from short guys with napoleon complexes. There used to be a guy at my school who thought it was great to constantly take the piss out of me for no apparent reason. The only reason I can think of is possibly because at 6'4" I was about a foot taller than him and he felt he had to prove how much of a man he was.
The other bummer about being tall is that when you're a kid the older ones feel its perfectly fine to pick a fight with you when they would never do it to any of your peers because of the age difference.
And finally there's the occasional low door frame, sign post or wing mirror on a bus that smacks you on the head.
I'm just glad I'm "tall" as opposed to "holy crap lets all stare at that guy" kinda tall. There's a guy who lives somewhere around my hometown called Chris Greener, I've occasionally seen him in the supermarket, he's the tallest man in britain last I heard at 7'6"!

Since I've moved to Okinawa, I seem to 'fit in' a lot better...

hmm I'm 5'6 I think...170cm and 58 kg,,,not sure what it is in lbs...I actually like challenging tall guys....its fun...
I want to pick up some weight tho...afaik you have to be 65kg to fly a jet... and I got a year to get there hmm...could work
