im not an rts fan, much less warhammer

imo i think warhammer is a complete waste of money, both the models and the games.It just doesn't appeal to me

I liked it.. only I got it shortyl before I got Rome: Total war and to be honest RTW beats any other RTS hands down.

i hope you have some bleeding edge flame retardant shields up. cause on any rts forum, you'd get fried.

i like both of them.

DoW is awesome if u wanna have a quick game with a couple of friends, RTW is cool for longer games.

i had a WH40k army back then (like 10 years ago...) so i knew the universe and all the stuff pretty well. i like the way how they made DoW - the game is a blast and fun fun fun to play.
especially battles that go on for over 1.5 hours nonstop fighting.
REAL warhammer feeling

try that long 3vs3 map with 6 human players in 2 teams.
we did that at a small LAN.
(eldar, eldar and marines VS orcs, chaos and marines)
was my 1st time playin eldar, i prefe chaos otherwise.

the 1st 20-30 mins remained calm, all teams building up, then without giving any "go" or something, the 2 HUGE armies clashed in the middle.
both sides had plenty of resources and kept sending in units and reinforcements.
the battle lasted for 1.5 hours!!! with small advances and counterattacks from both sides. in the end, 2 avatars, 2 farseers (eldrich storm rocks ), ~20 squads, ~10 wraithlords, several tanks, terminators, kinda the full arsenal of the races break through the main defenses, ignored the remaining units and killed the 3 bases in less than 3 minutes.
so far my best warhammer experiance and an outstanding fight.

DoW rocks!

i just started playin RTW - i like what ive seen so far. both games are hard to compare IMO.
