The Four Grand Challenge
This is where you can discuss your homework, family, just about anything, make strange sounds and otherwise discuss things which are really not related to the Lancer-series. Yes that means you can discuss other games.

I was reading on www.Gamefaqs.com that they made a SUPER COMPUTER one of the fastist "gaming" comp there is.For 10,000$ so 5,000 pounds.
ff's right, this isn't a gaming machine, this is a design machine...although they might be similar specced except the video card.
I can see this is not really going anywhere - seemed like a good idea at the time but it didn't attract as much interest from the techie element as I expected. Maybe this should die a death after all.
@indy no, you're not required to buy any software....presume that this is for a company that already has the required programs.

Hang on Gromit.
I was busy doing family stuff this weekend but it isn't as if I didn't give this a go.
I topped out on a retail pricing, US at over $10K. The assumption is, hwoever, that you can get professional/commercial discounts that would bring the overall pricing back down to around $8+K. You'll have to let me know if that assumption is valid for you.
Anyway, here's what I've got for you.
Case: Lian Li PC V2000A>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>$ 260
Mobo: SuperMicro X6DH8-XG2>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>$ 582
CPU: Intel Xeon 3.4gHz x 2 >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>$1420
Video: 3dLabs Wildcat Realizm 200 >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>$1166
RAM: Corsair 1024-4400c25 x 4(gb) >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>$1160
HDD1: WD 740 GD x 2; RAID0 >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>$ 450
HDD2: WD 1600SD x 2; RAID1 >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>$ 238
Sound: E-MU Emulator X Studio >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>$ 719
Displays: Iiyama Prolite H540S-W 21" x 2 >>>>>>>>>>>$3200
Mouse: Logitech MZ 1000 Laser Mouse >>>>>>>>>>>>>$ 67
Keyboard: Microsoft Digital Media Pro >>>>>>>>>>>>>>$ 30
Speakers: Logitech Z680, 5.1 >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>$ 400
Tablet: Wacom Intuos 3 9x12 >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>$ 380
Total: $10,237 assuming discount of approx 20% = (2,047.40) Yields $8,189.60
Note, I did not include a modem but the mobo is gigabit ethernet ready.
<edit>
Also, the Lian Li case is a G5 wannabe version in platinum silver. If you'd rather
represent the dark side, you can switch it over to the V2000B which is a matte black finish version of the same case. Both have the heavy duty perforation for better ventilataion a la G5.
