This is where you can discuss your homework, family, just about anything, make strange sounds and otherwise discuss things which are really not related to the Lancer-series. Yes that means you can discuss other games.

new ways of spreading spam

Sorry to bother you but I am hoping that you might be able to help me. I found your e-mail address on a chain letter that was sent to me and thought that as your name was on a chain letter you may have other chain e-mail letters (forwards) that you could send to me?

I am doing a project at university regarding the different subjects that go around the Internet on chain e-mail letters and how many people they actually reach. I would be very grateful if you could send me any that you have, absolutely anything and everything (even the rude ones).

We are trying to ascertain trends and patterns, also we know that around 85% of all e-mails are Spam but what we don't know is what percentage of that accounts for chain mail (forwards). I would also be very grateful if you would be kind enough to forward this e-mail to all your friends as I need as many as I can get my hands on for the project to be a success.

This project is based over a year so please keep them coming. I will let you know the results of my project and when to stop sending.

Please send all forwards to the following e-mail address - [email protected]

Your help would very much be appreciated.

Thanks

Jane Rowlings

I recieved a spam message lately from the supposed servant or something of some king in some african country or something. It said something about the king dying and having no one to inherit his money, and they didnt want the government to get it, so they wanted me to stand in as his nephew or something. Even if it had been real, no one in their right mind would accept the offer. It was more complicated than this, but i deleted it a while ago and i am fuzzy on the details.

You can run, but run fast.... 1 shot is all I need.

*Shakes head in despair* Why do you people persist in opening emails from people you don't know?! Haven't I warned you against it enough yet?!?! Arrrggghhhh!!!

Post Tue Nov 09, 2004 6:16 pm

Something like 90% of people out there still don't have a clue about emails, attachments and worms, hence become infected.

You could launch the world's biggest advertising campaign. Billboards, emails, commercials, ads on milk cartons, during elections, on buses and trains, banners in the sky.

At the end of it all, 85% of people out there still wouldn't have a clue. It's hopeless man, communicating effectively with the masses is an impossible task.

When the average luser gets behind their screen, they loose about three-quarters of their intelligence, ALL of their common sense and become mind-numbingly dumb.
