Opensource..... Celerons ARE Intel procs.

@Jack: Right now AMD 64s are the bigger bang and, by price, absolutely the biggest bang for the buck. So you'd probably do better with an Aurora. BUT I suspect that these Auroras and Area 51s are NOT DDR2 memory capable or PCI-E units as repates as deep as these are intended to clear out inventories.... better hurry though. These kinds of deals sell out very quickly.

Alienware is very well known in the gaming rig world. They usually are considered one of the top three specialized gaming rig manufacturers.

I know the Cellies are Intels, I was just in total and complete shock when I found out that they were actually FAST. Whoa dude. Fast Intel processor....that's practically an oxymoron.

Ok, name a brand and model and ill look into it tomarrow morning(yea i was just starting t think the alienware was unneccessary and a littel expensive even with that rebate), its almost 1 am and i have been at this since 6 pm, time to hit the sack. So You guys can keep posting if you want and ill look at it first thing in the morning, thanks again guys

Well, 2 people have recommended the aurora, so if i can com up with th money i may get that, but if anyone knows of a computer that is cheaper, but has good gaming capabiliris, please post here. Thanks

Ok, so i was looking around on my laptop and i noticd that it was pentium 3, not pentium 2, this is because 1 week befor the warranty xpired(if i am missing any "Es" it is because the E key is stuck) so they had to replace the whole thing because the motherboard or something had been exposed to a strong magnetic field, anyways they didnt have many of the old parts so they had to us newer ones and that is why i have a pentium 3, does this change anything? and im still looking for computers, the alienware aurora is looking really good right now, the only other one i have considered thus far is a dell dimension 3000 or something, but i have only heard bad things about dell service.

Jack, please do not get offended, but we have an edit button for adding things after posting. You don't need to make three consecutive posts! Don't worry, if you edit a post and add some material, it will bump the thread back up as if it has a 'new' post in it

Thankyou

@Opensource,

With the rebate, Jack ends up spending just that anyway.

OK guys, i configured the computer online, I basically put the worst components on it and didnt add any extra stuff like the video cooling thingy, but it still came up to 1,069 after the rebate, i think i may have to wait for a christmas loan from my parents lol, thanks again guys.
