Okinawa, Japan
Okinawa, Japan. Site of the largest battle in WWII (if I am correct), a lot of history here that I haven't even scratched the surface of. I have been to a lot of the tourist places such as a Naval Underground Headquarters used by the Japanese, really neat. I could go on forever about cool stuff I have seen here. There are other attractions as well. The best place in the world, said by many, to go SCUBA diving. Awsome Coral, as well as sea life. And if you are lucky, you can find a shell from the bombardment in the mid '40s. (I haven't, yet)
I personally cannot say enough about Okinawa. The people are great, even though they don't all like the U.S Military Bases here, but have really no choice in the matter (they do, but if we left, the economy would crumble).
If you are a sightseer, history buff, or an avid diver, put Okinawa on your list of places to go before you die.
Anyone else been to this tiny island? I'd be supprised if many have heard of it, much more if you've been here.
