This is where you can discuss your homework, family, just about anything, make strange sounds and otherwise discuss things which are really not related to the Lancer-series. Yes that means you can discuss other games.

Elder Scrolls 4: Oblivion

Here is a preview article about the new Elderscrolls game "Oblivion". The screenshots of the game look very impressive. I thought that some of you *looks at AoD* might find this news interesting .

If they do half as good with it as with Morrowwind, I would get it. Can't wait to see and hear more about it.

Looks like something a bit too deep / engrossing for me to play.

Morrowind was bloody brilliant, but it's one of those games that you can really loose weeks of your life playing because it is such a huge game to discover. I remember just running and fighting for two hours straight just to see what was on the other side of the island. I read this preview yesterday and it really sounds like it will be a improvement over Morrowind. Certainly the charector models look a lot better, which was always an area I thought lacking in Morrowind.

WOW!
I absolutly can't wait for it!
I got Morrowind recently, and I play it all the time. It is such a great game!
A new one will be awesome!

Indy - Some RPGs can be like that; Arcanum was the same way. It was so large that it was exhausting to play. Morrowind was a little like that, but Oblivion is supposed to mitigate that somewhat and provide more direction.

I had a major fascination for Morrowind and i've seen some of the Screenies for oblivion. I will definately be getting this game.

I remember i was playing Morrowind and just running around checking out some of the caves and tombs and i came across one with a like water maze sort of thing. When i cleared the maze there was a door at the end and i went through it and i was so high up i looked down and there was a boat trapped in this cave with a dead Imperial Soldier there with loads of gold and enchanted items.

Finding that made me sit back and just think WOW this is unbelievable.

If Bethesda sort out the crashing problems they had with Morrowind, this could potentially be the Best RPG ever and will win just as many awards as Morrowind.

my first experience with morrowind was walking in a huge circle for three hours ( real time ) after leaving seeda neen.

I almost had an orgasm reading this preview, I have spent hundreds of hours playing Morrowind and the expansions and it really sounds like they are going to hit all the weak areas of Morrowind with this new game.
@Mustang: you said the character models are a little lacking this is true but there are mods that make them pretty damn decent.

Thanks Esqy. But RPGs in general are too time consuming for me. I'd rather spend the time on an RTS. Then again, I really don't have much time of RTS's anymore.

I've not really played FPSs all that much but it seems that they and games like FL... is that an FPS? are more conducive as they can be broken down into smaller sessions and still yield satisfactory game resolution "units."

Indy - You're just not dedicated enough to gaming. Just get rid of that hindering social life and you'll be set .
