Its insane... its like paying Neo in the Matrix to fight agents... what does it accomplish? nothing!
if it was full suit VR or NIVR i would understand, but this is just nonsense...

I read about that a while ago. Meh, I don't think that it is a sport, more of an activity. Still, chess is considered a sport so...

It is a competition though. I think that in a very loose sense, contests of skill are considered to be sports.

@kimk.... I think the article also mentions that this has been going on for a while in S.K. Do you know whether the "players" make it into the news? I'm trying to get an idea of what it is like now. How do the parents react? Are most of the players adults or teens?

I went on friday. unfortunately i must say of all the games i saw the US won none. for the US vs Canada Halo the cloak and rocket strategy one the game, and the US came so close with that comeback.
EDIT: correction, i just logged on to the site and looked at the medal tally. Us won Gold in Counter-Strike, Gold and Bronze in Halo
Also ever notice how often Korea wins. why do they always win the tournement?
