I find it a bit contradictory - calling yourself a 'Love Shark' and then wondering about self-esteem due to attention on behalf of a representative of the opposite sex?

no-one feel even remotely sorry for FD, all he has to do to get the girl of his dreams is drive down the road but he won't. despite much encouragement and cajoling, he'd rather sit around with his vulture men bemoaning his fate so don't sympathise with him - tell him to get off his butt and to take his chances.

oh hello there FD, didn't see you there

*Shakes Head* I truly wish it was that easy Taw, But there's more to it than I can post about. If it was that easy, I would have chucked the job, loaded up my truck and hit the road. But, there a re a few wrinkles in it that prevent it. And, it looks to be headed the other, ie oposite, direction. ...........

Not to oversimplify things, Fd, but maybe you need to open up your heart to other possibilities then? The idea is to share in the end. To hold out for one who is not attainable closes you off from being able to share with anyone else.

A fair POV, I'd say . Still, I don't know if there's anybody who's 'not attainable'. Anyways, we're hijacking the thread, I think

You have no idea. I did. But, mixed signals sent, have changed yet again. A person I met at work and have been talking to and seeing for about a month, kind of let it slip, she wants attention only, not a relationship. If that was not ok, she would find someone else. I think I will stay single, hurts less..........

But, JL, Maybe you will have beter luck. The girl does seem intersted in you, and thats a plus.

Well, here's another cliche that seems appropriate to both Jake and Fd....

"Nothing ventured.... nothing gained."

@Shark: if she's worth a shot, go for it.
@FD: somehow I feel a bit of narcissism would be of much help for you - you should consult Taw in that matter
P.S. j/k, don't mean to offend anyone. What I actually meant (aside from the reference to Taw (which, I emphasize again, was a joke) was that if sth doeasnt work out with a chick, it's much healthier to think that SHE's probably not worth it rather than vice versa. In order to avoid feminists' attacks (), I can say that it should work both ways). Geez, so many parentheses! Timo to stop drinking and go home

there is another way to make you feel good about yourself...get a dog

Post Tue Oct 05, 2004 12:32 pm

That's also a great way to, er, meet, er, women. More romances are sparked by dog walking in my City than many people realize. Of course, you do need to be a serious pet owner as opposed to an owner of a pet for the purposes of picking up women.

yeah, I see the situation: a goy and a girl are walking dogs, they (i.e. the dogs) start chasing each other, the ropes get intertwined, and unexpectedly the two get tied to each other. Blah...

@zlo....erm.... I assume it is just a spelling error but "goy" you mean "guy" right of did you really mean "goy"?

Just checking.

@Indy and zlo - Are either of you Jewish? I am. I nearly fell of my chair laughing at "goy". Hilarious.

EDIT: Maybe it should be "a goy and a shikse are walking dogs..."
