I hate them...they seem gayish

Rrrrrright. Gayish, sure. Makes perfect sense to hate a band for that.

And also WAY too soft,

Rrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrright. Soft, sure.

Personally, I like their first album the best. In the End really hooked me and has been my favourite song of theirs for ages.

I think their lyric is supposed to be anti-establishment or anti status quo

I'm going to have to disagree with you there, it seems to me their songs are more about personal struggle with the variety of issues one can get as a teenager. Which is probably why it appeals so much to teenagers, something they can relate to. And before some smart-aleck says something about teenagers not having issues or something or that sort thing makes LP worse. Don't. This wasn't to begin another discussion on teenagers, just a point of view on their lyrics.

I've only seen two animated videos. The rest use special effects. Anime sucks? tsk tsk. *shakes head in disappointment*

I wonder how much anime you have seen to make a statment like that, you just make yourself sound really un-intelligent when you make a statements about a whole genre of entertainment with a phrase like "suck-ass." Most of LP's videos are not animated besides, and IMO music videos aren't really that great in general its about the music not the video. Personally I think LP has a few good songs but they are not the greatest band out there.

Anime Sucks! What kind of crap is that?

Rocket, did you know some of the greatest TV shows in the world as voted by American and Japanese citizens are anime? Huh? What about Yu Yu Hakusho and Inu-yasha? Those are two of the greatest shows to ever come out of Japan. Now I agree that some anime sucks, Lupin III for example and Gundam Seed, but my lord man, may you get beat to a bloody corps by Osama bin Laden. Tisk tisk.
And I also agree that Breaking the Habit is a cartoon video, but do you consider computer generated to be anime? Some of Linkin Park's videos are not the best in the world, and some of their songs are not that great, but they are still one of the best new rock bands out there. By the way, Numb isn't anime, nether is Somewhere I Belong, and In the End. Give me a break.

...is it about linkin park or anime?...if all you are going to do is rant about anime maybe this thread should be locked and a new thread should be started about movie/television etc styles.

@leonhart: Linkin Park not heavy? talk to a pop fan and see their opinion... The thing about Linkin Park I dont like is the way they whine about things that most people deal with every day, trying to make themselves look like they're hard done by. bastards are lucky enough to get a record deal. I'd love to have a record deal, loads of groupies i could abuse, and more money than the average joe.

@Rocketman: I'd like to see your proof of anime "sucking ass". You probably havent watched some of the cool stuff. (to me thats Gasaraki, NGE, Ghost in the Shell, Spriggan)
