Forum posting...

This is where you can discuss your homework, family, just about anything, make strange sounds and otherwise discuss things which are really not related to the Lancer-series. Yes that means you can discuss other games.

rofl! definitely sticky material, and it belongs in a thread on its own. for newbs to see. tell'em to take it seriously. highly educational for the technologically challenged. highly amusing for the rest

usernames, sigs and pics stickies should be merged with this one.

I wonder, if it's taken too seriously (I'm talking about the statement that it's always better to post in an existing thread than to start a new one), we'll have a significant decrease in the number of new threads.

i want to raise an issue sw talked about some time ago. about grave digging and posting about old topics.

say we talk about ww2, and its causes. then when we're done, we let the thread die. but couple months later, someone else comes along. wants to talk about ww2. he wants to let others know of his views. he wants to post about ww2. what does he do?

revive the dead thread? or make a new post about ww2? grave digging and posting about topics discussed in the past are both shunned by the community. but this is really weird dont you think?

I only look upon grave digging badly IF the addition is not "worthy". By this, it usually happens in the Editing forums - and consists of:

"Thanks!!!!"

"Thats Great!!!!!"

"When will it be released??!?!?!"

"AWESOME!!?!?!??"

But when their post is ON TOPIC and contributes to the discussion, showing that they READ the old discussion (ie looked through, taken other points into account and posted their thoughts considering what has been posted before) - then it doesn't bother me at all. Even if they ask a question that is relevent - then i still find that acceptable (mainly as in the modding forums if you have a question your supposed to use the threads there - but if in doubt, posting in a relevant thread is the next best thing!). Unfortunately there are too many "worthless posts" around to be honest. However - that is MY view, and of course it differs for others!

ROTFLMAO that was really brilliant and the thing about gravedigging i have a dim view on all of it i really can't stand it when it happens, i don't know why it gets to me but it just does
