Hi, what type of PC are you running???????

This is where you can discuss your homework, family, just about anything, make strange sounds and otherwise discuss things which are really not related to the Lancer-series. Yes that means you can discuss other games.

some crappy case that just happens to have loads of room and 4 case fans, 2 transverse fans and double hdd fans, and fits under my desk. Case aesthetics are totally unimportant to me.

APC 500W SmartUPS -ES w. surge protection (usb)

LAN routed 1mb cable b/band

1.44mb floppy
Iomega internal Zip750 drive

Windows 2000 Server & SP4

big server case with lots of cooling, 4 case fans, a transverse fan and double hdd fans, although I'd really like to put it all in a rack. and keep it under the stairs

APC 350 BackUPS w. surge protection (serial)

kids both have their own PC's, nothing special, an Athlon 1400 and a PIV-2.4, plenty of RAM couple of low-end FX series cards, both got TFTs cos of space. Interweb access and e-mail controlled by me through ZA-Pro firewall on router. All PCs have virus defs regularly updated from mirror on my server. Network drives allow kids to store all their rubbish on my server (within quota) Same LAN access allows small-kid to play XBox games online.

next step, Voice over IP telephones, I'm sick of my daughter hogging the dam 'phone every few minutes.

Mine's a sort of off-white colour. It has a bunch of lights on it that flash evey so often. When I turn it on it makes a sort of humming/buzzing noise. It also has a whole lot of buttons on it and all sorts of funny looking things sticking out of the back.

@D_S

Don't know where your friend has been looking but Sapphire's PCI-E X800

But your friend doesn't need the PCIE version to get good results. He should just
get the AGP card, avoid having to upgrade his mobo. BUT his cpu needs to be top end to get the utmost from the X800 regardless of whether AGP or PCI-E.
