The Meaning of LIfe

This is where you can discuss your homework, family, just about anything, make strange sounds and otherwise discuss things which are really not related to the Lancer-series. Yes that means you can discuss other games.

This is a site full of cynical guys, of course my opinion will get flamed and shot down, whats the use of doing it

Carla it won't trust me and if it does i'll make sure the person that flames it gets banned, everyone is entitled to their own opinion without having it bashed

yeah go on sw, no-one's going to say anything nasty, not even me. ff pulled this once, he said he had the meaning of life or some such then wouldn't tell anyone. I think it had "sth" to do with him getting a new camera..

Shroud the cause is well dont you take a sex ed class? but im not saying i know anything i just try to explore...

Post Sat Sep 11, 2004 2:34 pm

will people stop saying sth, its annoying and realtively useless.
in text messaging i can understand it, but when you're typing, any acronyms mean you have to go out of your way to type which means taking longer, so its futile, plus it means i cant skim-read it because i trip over the words like an athlete over a drunken man.

as for flaming and bashing, thats not exactly likely to happen, unless of course your ideas are moronic, like the meaning of life is for cheeseburgers or to service the whims of sw and thats it, i can see those getting a big flaming. If its about god or soemthing, that's...acceptable, despite many people's distaste for all things ecclesiastical.

Here's a theory of mine, to make yours look good:

The meaning of life, is death. We all die, its a constant in the universe and as yet, no one has outfoxed mr reaper, therefore we all know its going to happen. We can forgo eating, sleeping, movement, sex, breathing, but generally this leads us back to death. So death, more than continuing existance, would be the universal constant. As such, it would make sense that the meaning of life was something that we couldnt avoid, that was hardwired into our very being so even if we werent aware of it conciously, we'd still follow through with our purpose like obidient lap hounds.

The meaning of life is death, whats important is what you leave behind, what you did, what you changed, who you loved, where you went.

all of you seem so sure you know the meaning.

The simplest of all, We are created, born, grow to adults to know God(educationally) in who and what he is, then to be with Him for eternity. However, He gave us the option of choice. Interesting mix there.

Well i personaly am a non-thiest so i dont believe god i find god irealevent (not that people shouldn't believe god i think the belief can be wondeerful ) but i find that the meaning of life would be more then meets the eye

Life is what it is

There is no right path or right answer. Only that which we choose.

These two values some up some parts of me. But only some, other parts of me are God. In a very literal sense.

Heltak speaks SOME wisdom for once. Seriously, though. I don't think anyone can truly and consciously KNOW the meaning of life. I don't think we'll know until after we die. I find that you should take life as it comes and try to make the best choices you can. Sometimes, it doesn't work out. And sometimes it does. But if you keep trying and don't give up, good things WILL happen to you. Sometimes, though, it's just best to forget about the bigger picture and just deal with the smaller stuff that matters, like friends and family and playing video games. Like I do.
