Whats the difference?

This is where you can discuss your homework, family, just about anything, make strange sounds and otherwise discuss things which are really not related to the Lancer-series. Yes that means you can discuss other games.

Whats the difference?

Between bmp.jpg, giff etc files, what makes them different (only talking pic files here) Is it the way the picture is "drawn"?
Like bmp sounds almost like its a bitmap which is then coloured in to show the picture, or something like that in anyway

here

and a more technical explanation

here and here too

for practical purposes, bmps contain a lot of visual information hence why they're so big (if your digital camera or scanner is set for bitmap capture then you'll use up great chonks of storage) jpgs for example are compressed image files that store information more efficiently and thus are a LOT smaller in file size as a result. There is some image inferiority though. generally this isn't normally very noticeable, and is usually more than offset by the file shrinkage, often as much as 80 or 90%.

other file types have other features, such as animation.

PNG is quite good as it is a "lossless" format, but the size of the files *can* be a concern, especially with very large images.
