calculator games!

This is where you can discuss your homework, family, just about anything, make strange sounds and otherwise discuss things which are really not related to the Lancer-series. Yes that means you can discuss other games.

My friends devised "calculator cricket". Basically at each line, it randomly chooses from a list of possible outcomes, like no ball, 2 runs, a six, etc. But it can also get you out at any time. It was all chance based, but still pretty fun.

Someone found it somewhere, I'll see if I can get hold of him to ask him where it was

The best game is pimp quest! Get it if you can find it.

I believe you meant the TI-83 + silver edition, i have one of those.
I dont believe there IS an 84 model.

I have a stopwatch, countdown timer, Quadratic equations solver, and a neat little 'Matrix' code program (I was bored...) for that calc.
Plus a large collection of games, but that only works if you have the computer cable for the calculator.
You can have them if you want them...

I believe you meant the TI-83 + silver edition

nope, you are wrong. there is in fact a TI-84 plus silver edition. its a major improvement apon the TI 83 plus

btw when i get some games on my calculator i get syntax errors

Well this is a useful topic *shakes head*. I never needed one, but my associates used to play Tetris on their graphics calculators as I recall.

I had tetris on my Ti-83 Graphics calc, but i needed ION or something similar

http://www.ticalc.org, for all your calculator gaming needs. I can program in ti BASIC, by the way. Anyone else out there know their way arround these sub-routines, perchance? --- VH16

I never spent much of Precalculus playing games, although adjacent desks had Ti-83+ tetris matches going on. I used most of my space for math related things, though I always made room for a particular game called "International Drug Wars 2" where you got 30 'days' (turns) to buy and sell a variety of drugs (most of which are likely used at my school) in seven or eight different countries around the world. You had to make a certain amout of money to pay off your suppliers and the kid's college debt without being beaten by the large black man named Shaft (happens in the game) or getting caught by customs. It was an elaborately programmed game.

Okay, I just happen to love calc games! (They are great in those boring classes! ) The biggest calc game site out there is TICalc. They have THOUSANDS of games on their site. It takes like forty minutes to look through all of them! It really is a great site.
TICalc
Enjoy!
Edit- In the site, go to the archives, then find your calc, and select the type of prog you want.

thanks, i happened to find that site on my own btw
and i solved my problem of the syntax error (had to download MirageOS)

its too bad i cant use all types of games (i can only use ones made for TI 83, TI 83+ or TI 84) but if i ever figure out that programming stuff i can port it to ASM to be used on MirageOS.

and i still cant find calculator cricket.

Arania, that would be great
