Tired

Can someone plz tell me, how do I manage to be less tired? Got lots of work coming up, but too few hours in a day, need to know how to be less tired

Exercise a little, drink plenty of water, eat meals, and get what rest you can. Basics are the best. Staying hydrated wil help in the tiredness. If I don't drink enough water on a hot day, I will get tired faster.

I already do all of those

eat lots of fruit and avoid the temptation to drink anything with caffeine or sugar in it - caffeine and sugar will give you an instant "hit" but makes you more tired as you "come off it". Fruit on the other hand is vitamin rich and will wake you up naturally.

If you get really tired, try to sleep in 20-30 min breaks. Set an alarm to wake you up - this "power napping" will give your body a little bit of what it needs and after 10 minutes or so of feeling very tired, you'll wake up feeling much fresher than before.

Also avoid fatty foods or large quantities of food - drink lots of water.

Trust me on this, I was a sound engineer for 5 years and often found myself in a situation were I would have to work for anything up to 72 hours at a time. Lots of fruit, lots of water.

I cant power nap

Soft music in the background, a relaxing chair, close your eyes, Boom, I can be asleep inside of 2 min and do a 20 min power nap and be ready to go. Works great on really hot days. Just takes practice to get yourself to go to sleep quickly.

Man, those are the old man method of staying awake....next they will be telling you to wear tube socks to keep blood pressure up in the lower limbs, so rendering them less tired, or meditating!

Well, for me - its caffine. Sure there maybe a down to it, but i am waiting for that to hit, and i have been guzzlin the stuff for years . Keep it perpetual and it works wonders.

OR - try not to stare too hard at things, it tires the eyes - like computer screens

Back to old man methods.....pah!
Move about a bit, sitting still can lead to feeling "tired" - go for a brisk walk, or even do excerise if in the long run!
Breathe fresh air - a must. You will feel tired if cramped in a room all day doing sod all - get out, get active, and get moving. Wakes you up until its a natural bed time.

Bottom line - don't sit on your butt all day and get the circulation going - it does work! You fall asleep sat in a chair - i have never heard of someone falling asleep whilst walking

I get enough exercise walking from class to class and i still want to fall asleeop in class(tho this might be becus of the lever of boringness in the classes) I dont get to stare at a pc screen most of the day becus of school extra classes and homework and sport which is luckily finished now or not so luckily but in anyway

And I have to stare at a pc screen a lot from now, got to finish a project a computer project

lmao - level of boredom/tedium coupled with heat are what lead to falling asleep during classes. It used to happen to me alot as well. Do you wake up without an alarm, or do you need the alarm to wake you in the morning (A good sign is waking up around 5 mins before it goes off, and getting out of bed!).

need alarm most of the time
but I am awake as soon as it starts making noise

too much exercise and ANY form of caffeine will get you exhausted. fruit, water, air...and when you can, small sleeps....its not "Old man" - its the only biologically true way of doing it. Otherwise, you'd be better off pumping yourself up with narcotics!

Believe me I've tried both methods - and the only way to do it and stay focused is the natural way. Caffeine, speed, amphets, in the end legal or not, they all have the same effect on your body.

Hmm well exercise will get a lot less now since its exams and the hockey season is over
And I get in alot of caffeine because its winter
Exercise only lasts for a while tho same as caffeine
