Any real pilots out there?

This is where you can discuss your homework, family, just about anything, make strange sounds and otherwise discuss things which are really not related to the Lancer-series. Yes that means you can discuss other games.

Any real pilots out there?

I wish flying a plane was as easy as steering in FL. *sigh* But it isn't. And the control tower probably wouldn't take it too kindly if I started referring to myself as Freelancer Alpha 1-1

Anyhow, just wondering if anyone else has experienced the exhileration of a first solo take off or the feelinf of utter relief after making a tricky crosswind landing (especially in a teeny little 152).

Being a pilot is awesome, no doubt.

CODENAME: ...uh, CODENAME?

I'm just wishing I could be a pilot, I want to fly Figter planes, but I'm too light to join the airfore

airfore

What's the airfore ?

The closest I've every got to flying a plane is on Flight Simulator 2004, and that's enough for me ...

I meant airforce

Same with me. Good ol' FS, too bad I never bother to learn properly and just turn the settings to unrealistic, but oh well. Had some fun times playing that, once a friend and I tried flying from Berlin to Moscow in 747. It was going alright at the start, but then we crashed. So we turned the settings all the way down to unrealistic and 'drove' the plane across the ground all the way to Moscow. Probably smashing houses and destroying power lines along the way.

Friends are just people who have used each other so often it has become habitual.

i always stall. i ran/flew into the WTC once. i think i need to claim copyright infringement benefits on the iraqi.

i wonder how many US sniffers i woke up ?

Newer games modify this ability, I read, to avoid it on future copys.

I wouldn't be surprised if the WTC ceased to exist on newer versions of FlightSim.

well ive flown the space shuttle in fs 2002, overshot my airport about 20 times.

I flew a glider once, but when i say i flew...i mean i was allowed to take over the controls for a minute or so. However, the feeling for that minute was awesome, and made me want to join the Navy/Airforce.

unfort, i was too tall for jets, suffered from Hayfever ( a no no), and to cap it all, my 20/20 vision deteriorated from age 19 towards present day, making me short sighted...so i would have to take private lessons, which i cannot afford

I'd really like to learn how to fly a glider. Apparently it works great with some ladies. Although, being a pilot does lend itself to a few dirty ("joystick" related) pickup lines...

Sorry. It seems my TISS (Testosterone Induced Stupidity Syndrome) is acting up again. I'll try not to do it again.
