That's right, I reckon bread is an amazing invention. Just stop and think about it for a bit. Imagine you're a caveman. You need to eat. So what do you do? Kill a mammoth or two? Collect some nuts, berries and other fruits etc?
No! You go out, collect some grain, and mash it up to extract a load of white/brown powder. Wow, it looks like food already! Then you mix it with water to make a sloppy mess, then cook it by a fire and eat it? It's not a straight-forward food to come up with, is it?

Similarly, alcohol is an odd achievement. We all need to thank the genius who decided to drink that skanky looking water with barley rotting and fermenting in the bottom of it!
