Link This sounds like they are trying an EMP. If its omni directional, it could hit an inocent bystanders car.

they should make a gun out of it. guns would have a very much narrower target vision. like guns shootin radiowaves...

dont they already have something simaller to that? some kinda microwave deal the millitary developed to take down missles. only drow back would be the missle spinning in flight and the gun not being able to target the same spot till the missle blew up. saw it on some tv show awhile back tho

They do need to do something, though. Police chases are dangerous to everyone and yet the criminals can't be allowed to rely on that to try to escape.
