Tattoos & Piercings: Good or Bad? Discuss

I was out with the little Munchkin in her stroller going for a walk in the park the other day. Two young women whom I would guess were in their very early twenties took a liking to Baby so stopped to make some cooing sounds and play were with her a little.

Originally, I tried to ignore them because they didn't seem very wholesome. YW1 had purplish spiky hair. Was wearing those barely pull-uppable enough jeans and had a kind of vine like tattoo crawling up here midrif and past her navel. YW2 had a barbed wire tattoo around her neck, comparably spiky hair dyed a kind of lime green with very yellow blonde streaks and she had at least 4 earings in each ear plus a couple of nose studs in her left nostril. No tattoo on her belly but there was one on her backside just at the base of her spine of some kind of Chinese dragon, couldn't see the claws so I wouldn't be able to tell which kind.

Getting past the tattoos and the piercings, they were two very beautiful girls, I think. They had very clear complexions, very pretty eyes even with all the heavy mascara and they had pretty good figures if I remember correctly.

They were wonderful with munchkin, said the nice polite things to me and went their way. I could not help but think to myself how wasted their beauty was with these piercings and tattoos.

Anyway, I was wondering what other people had to say about this type of body ornamentation.

Piercings are crasy if nothing more than the potintual(sp) of getting an infection. I know some people who have gotten the area infected. Tounges are the easyest to infect.

Tatoo's? Just remember, you have to live with what ever you get. The laser surgery is $400 a pop and does not remove all colors. Then you have a girls name, break up with her and date another, only for her to ask who Karen is. I will admit, some are nicely done. I saw on on the back of a girl of a large blue dragon that looked reaally good. I won't be getting any done myself though.

its a form of expression, personnaly, i think anything apart from sleepers in a girls ear looks silly, considering the girls around here put huuuuge hoops in there ears.

Tattoos and excessive peircings (more than one or two per ear) are my second-biggest turn-off in women. Seriously, I think it's just wrong and ugly. Could be the hottest chick on the planet - but if there's so much as a tiny nose stud, seeya later! Maybe i'm just old-fashioned.

BTW: Number-one turnoff is smoking.

Hmm... if a hot, sexy chick with a slim waist and a beautiful behind has this tattoo on the bottom of her back I don't care That's more like a turn-on to me

Read: only if she has a slim waist and has a beautiful behind

Amen LazerMeat. Sure, earrings and such are fine, and I can stand a tatoo. But with those two girls..*Whisles* Quite surprising really. EDIT-Didn't seem to really pay attention to the post. I couldn't agree more. There is one example in my scool, a girl in my math class. Kind of tall, long brown hair, clear complexion, you know. But, she has a snake tatoo around her neck, 4 earrings on her left ear, 3 on her right. And with a choice of clothes to match. Like indy said, beauty wasted due to excessive piercings and tatoos.

@Indy: wayhay! and you didnt get pictures or offer up a threesome? bah!
@topic: i like some pericings, i like some tats, its a case by case thing, some tats and peircings are hot as hell on some people and lame as a duck on other people. i would have one done if i could think of something i want on me for the rest of my days but currently i cant think of anything.

Saying that, i've been known to drink.

Did not have a camera with me. I know, I know. But I'm not that much of a shutterbug so it doesn't occur to me to "be prepared" like that.

I think it really depends on the tattoo or piercing. I'm quite a fan of certain piercings

When people go to the extreme I don't like it - piercings through the back of the neck, the side of the midriff and the throat are just plain grim. But bellybuttons, noses, tongues, bring it on. Pretty much every girl I've dated over the last 10 years has had an unusual piercing of some kind - and I'm telling you now, every one of those piercings has its benefits

Tattoos - again, I like small tattoos or motives on the lower back, they can be incredibly sexy...its just when they're taken to the extreme that it becomes offensive looking.

I work in chav city - and the piercings around here usually involve 4 foot diameter gold (plated) hoops and tattoos that stretch from the neck to the feet. Its enough to put anyone off both for life.

Some tattoos look good, I won't consider getting one tho, as for piercings, I dont have any, not intending to gey any

earings are fine, bellyrings is ok, anything other thatn that is plain gross imo

As long as it's not green, it's good

(That was a lie, it ain't good, not even if it's orange)

Piercings - I dont have a problem with some piercings, but some I do. For example I happen to like a small stud in the ear. I also dont have a problem with the ears as long as there isnt more gold then there is ear. When it comes to the mouth area, i dont like those. Bellybuttons i like, but dont go any farther south then those. I dont think I have to explain that one.

Tattoos - Tattoos depend on the person and on the tattoo. I like small tattoos on the lower back or maybe even on the base of the neck/upper back. I'm not a fan of the "full body" tattoos or the very large intricate designs that some people get. I also dont see the point in getting names all over yourself, espically if your not married. They just cost to much to get taken off.

Well theres my 2 cents for what its worth.

Tattoos: Did you ever stop to think what it will look like when he/she/you is/are 70? ....are 100 lbs. heavier?

Piercings: Multiples in the ears may involve piercing cartilage which means that the hole will never heal. Too much hanging weight can cause the pierce hole to enlarge and the pierced flesh to distend... which in some cultures was the objective, I'll admit.

I don't know. I tend to think it is a form mutilation although, I will concede that ear lobe piercing apparently is here to stay.
