What is it about

This is where you can discuss your homework, family, just about anything, make strange sounds and otherwise discuss things which are really not related to the Lancer-series. Yes that means you can discuss other games.

I've always looked at life as a series of challenges that have been set for me by some higher power, with the ultimate pursuit to be a balanced, happy and kind human being. So kinda like what Archie and Wiz said: it's a game....of sorts.

I live for a bunch of silly ambitions I've yet to fulfil. I suspect that's more or less the same for everyone.

To quote mr.eddie izzard...

I live til I die

I believe that even the smallest thing that you do affects everybody else in this world. So by removing someone from the world you are in effect, tipping the scales. So I live for you lot. And you'd better appreciate it

I believe that the only true answer is 'because'.

What choice do I have? Suicide is not an option (I'm too narcissistic (sp?), so...
Life is most fun when you don't think about its meaning.

Wisdom comes with age. But sometimes age comes alone...

I can't imagine you staring at yourself in the mirror, Zlo, but to each his own eh

It's because this question is both very difficult and yet simple that we have things like religions and philosophies.

In trying to avoid any religious context, I guess I would have to say that I accept that I exist and that I also seem to have my own free will to do as I please as long as I am willing to bear the consequences of my choices.

As boring as this reply may make it out to be, I prefer this over not existing.

as Stinger was/is fond of saying: Life is a Journey, not a destination.

it is exactly the way I view it. I will live till I either die of Tiredness, or drop dead on the floor due to severe Nicotine poisoning, until that final day, I'll just make the best of it, and live me life as its supposed to be lived, Lived out to the max.

PS: Anyone that accuses me of living destructively, Shut the bloody hell up, who are you to judge how I live MY life, it ain't like you got a saying in it when I die, do you??

for the little things:
tossing a rock at my neighbour and his "small white dog"
getting drunk at 2:30 and cursing all my vinegar-y comp
watching the sunrise and thinking of all the stuff I COULD do
not doing nothing
posting on TLR (I have no friends in real life)
wishing I knew people in RL
plotting world domination

Give it a rest Staring @ the Sun, I've had a gutfull of depressed teenagers on this forum who think they know all about life. I used to be just like you guys but you'll realise in the end, that your pursuit of unhappiness is just as pointless and fruitless as the drivel you spew forth at every opportunity you've got to grandstand your lack of appreciation for life. Get over it, cause nobody gives a toss and no-one likes a whinger. Life is only what you make of it.

..... and Mustang forgot to add that religious discission isn't allowed in this forum .

You can't have an illusion of happiness anyway. Since happiness is subjective, you have real happiness if you believe you are.

I live for two very simple and powerful words. The first of those is love.
I live because I have a family that loves me and because I love them. I live for my girlfriend that i've been dating for a very very long time.
The second word isnt really a word per se. Fear.
Im afraid if I was not here or if I died what would happen to everyone that I know. This one is mainly dedicated to my girlfriend but to my family also. The reason I say this is I dont think I could go on without her in my life and I know the feeling is the same for her. I think she knows me better then I know myself most of the time.
So I guess you can boil those two down into the simple statement. I live for my girlfriend and for my family.

I live to have fun in life. It's a trip, so I'm going to enjoy it while it lasts. There are ups and downs, postives and negatives, but it's reality. Teddy Roosevelt once said, "Do what you can with what you have, where you are." Those words couldn't be more true. Life's too short to worry about the small stuff. Just take life as it is, and do whatever the hell you want to do with it. I prefer to not worry about crap like politics and religion. Instead, I focus on what matters. Being myself.

I haven't thought much on this ever, so I can only say that I don't know what I live for. I'm still trying to figure that out.

The alternative is repulsive and I want to stay away from that.
