Esky Presents: Utopias: The Great War

This is where you can discuss your homework, family, just about anything, make strange sounds and otherwise discuss things which are really not related to the Lancer-series. Yes that means you can discuss other games.

I'm in it without even asking it (at least that is what I assume... Wizinski...)

Great story btw!

he, Nice story indeed Esky, I don't know what your sources were for it but its great. To let the Fascist leader of the West be assassinated be a brave member of the union of the east, gives a whole new twist to what acually could have been the story of what happened in the wolfs Lair...

Post Sun Jun 27, 2004 12:33 pm

Actuaally Taw I think when Zlo left Wiz knocked him out and stole his clothes, or at least that's how I interperred it.

Bravo Esqy!

@Taw.... I had nothing to do with this work. It's all Esqy afaik.

Well done again, Esqy, very well done!

Wiz - Thank you, and of course you were in it! You keep complaining that no-one puts you in any stories, and I wanted to stop your whining . I owed Final too, so he was present also.

Loc - Thanks. As for my sources, while I admit to using some poetic licence, most of it came from ff's Utopias thread. You know, cloaked mechs, ER-PPCs, Agent BORGOV, Esquilaxiov's family being held hostage, etc. Check the thread; it's all there .

Taw - Well the Utopias thread didn't give me much room for plot twists, so I went to the old "mole" line. It seemed to work.

Trooper/dr - Thanks! Another RYOC tale? Hmm, It's a possiblity, albeit a small one due to the unfortunate end of the latest thread. That *click* attack was devastating .

Indy - Thank you. Yes, 'twas all I. Now I have fulfilled my end of the bargain. Have you "found" those notes yet?

Post Sun Jun 27, 2004 11:33 pm

I don't believe either of you, you're obv cooking something else up.

Post Sun Jun 27, 2004 11:37 pm

Did i buy it? No heroes last stand of defiance? No massive funeral scene for me? No wailing weeping wenches of dubious virtue? No "black clad" hareem of totty to throw themsevlves over the pieces of my body in a heroes final burial? Or am i alive? The lucky "private ryan" kinda thing - who survives whilst everyone else dies

And all i wanted was a little pirate ship and a parrot!!

heh, I just looked up the ol' Utopias thread again, my what a marvel of writing that was, anyway, one post in particular caught me eye, my own post, to inspire the "troops" of the PDRNS here it is:

Comrad Taw, you again have misspelt my rank, It's Commisar Locutov Commander-in-Chief of the republican Forces under the revered Leader.

And Yes, I shall again March for the Glory of the Motherland
*Ol' Sovjet anthem plays in the background*

Comrad Soldiers, It is once again time to march on to war, for the glory and preservation of our combined motherlands.

Show no Mercy to the Mustantopian warmongers and obliterate, The Sultan, Fear Factor, Who has sought a coward alliance with our common enemie The imperialist Dog Mustang

Obliterate their Defenses, Like you did on the Utopian War, Then March on to The imperialists palace, Crush it And bring me that hound Mustang so his justice will be served,

And while you are on the way, Completely annihilate that dog Sultan Fear Factor IV,

My Comrads, ONWARDS, To VICTORY!!!!
*People of The provinve of Borgia Cheer while the army marches out, all 1,000.000.000 of them*

Comrad Tawakalna Your troops are on the move I await my commands.
This is exactly what I meant with the words of the soviet anthem are so inspiring, I wrote it while I was listening to the words of it.
mainly the beginning inspires me to do greatness, and it helps me get through a day of the nonsensical job that I now have:

Unbreakable Union of freeborn Republics,
Great Russia has welded forever to stand.
Created in struggle by will of the people,
United and mighty, our Soviet land!

Boy if that doesn't inspire anyone, I dare say he wasn't raised with the proper Socialist or Communist ideals, like I was, I was raised as a Socialist, but I turned Communist, don't know what caused it, but the ideals counted for a lot of it.

(PS: NO political discussion on this one please, if you have a question, Mail me, the addy in me profile is false so use [email protected])

@Esquilax: that's frickin' brilliant, though somewhat biased Wiz taking my place? Unbelievable... we're too different, Mustang would've smelled it. And I don't bow to anyone
@Taw, well, thanx again, dude! I can perform quite well even when being chemically inconvenienced Spiritus (sanctus or not ) only improves my performance

@Taw,

There was no collaboration. We're not in cahoots. Of course, the more I deny this, the less you'll believe me.

@Esqy,

The notes and outline are lost for good. The got thrown out as scrap by wifey when she found munchkin literally munching on it.

Have not had the time, never mind energy, to reconsctruct. It is harder to rewrite something that first was committed to writing while the imagination was
working. Forcing it is very difficult for me.

Some day I will finish it.

But first, I must resurrect my D-hell which has failed me utterly.

Post Mon Jun 28, 2004 11:51 am

resurrect it? here's an idea - throw it in the East River and forget it ever existed, and build yourself a real computer; I don't know why you keep putting yourself through this pain..

Post Mon Jun 28, 2004 11:57 am

As crazy as it seems, I have a plan which necessitates that what was the D'hell live on in some shape or form.

I still plan on looking at what I can build in the Fall. The D'hell will be a form of preparation for that.

Post Mon Jun 28, 2004 11:59 am

plantpot? door stop? modern sculpture? I admire your persistence at any rate, although i'd have jacked it long ago.

I miss New York I need another holiday, and I'll fix your dam D-Hell for you at the same time.

LOL The City is about to enter its sweltering season (July and August ... the dog days). Weather should improve by September.

The case goes as does the mobo but all the components will be swapped out to my replacement mobo and case. That should get me ready to build my hoped for dream machine in the Fall.
