polluted cow milk and new ways to go broke

This is where you can discuss your homework, family, just about anything, make strange sounds and otherwise discuss things which are really not related to the Lancer-series. Yes that means you can discuss other games.

polluted cow milk and new ways to go broke

Future travelers will be putting down their luggage in far-flung places, underwater, in the air and around the planet. They'll get amazing views from bizarre living quarters that build on "outrageously successful" billion-dollar projects on Earth, and they'll take adventures that have long been the province of science fiction.link

SAN FRANCISCO (AP) _ Young children and pregnant women who drink milk from California cows may be exposed to unsafe levels of a toxic chemical used in rocket fuel, according to a new study by an environmental group.

Post Thu Jun 24, 2004 2:07 am

Water could be poluted from the chemical run off and then into water sources that the cow get. Polution from factorys, industrial areas has always been a problem.

California has a lot of the space program /civilian and military / development, design and testing facilities in this country. Jet Propulsion Laboratories, Lockheed's Skunk Works, Boeings also. And They are all located in and about
the San Fernando Valley.... which also is where much of the dairy farms are located.

So even if you buy organic California milk, it still may be polluted with toxins anyway.

<Edit>

And that's just the civilian side. The Air Force, Navy and Marines all have major air bases in California which additionally are testing sites for all manner of missile armaments and motors / engines.

That is probably an urban legend. Florence is filled by radioactive Radeon gas, wich causes a lot of minor mutations in the Florentines, but the major just don't care. Just think that my mother born with a pair of extra ribs and less teeths, and I have more veins than normal people.

I'm Italian, I can't cook pizza, I can't play the mandolino and I'm not related with Mafia.

@Survivor

That's a surprise. Here, the US Govt. even sends out health bulletins about radon gas, why it is dangerous and what should be done about it. It can be vented out of harms way, etc., but it is believed here not only to cause some forms of genetic degradation but cancer as well.

.....And I've always dreamed of staying in Florence for a week or so

Post Thu Jun 24, 2004 1:36 pm

pah, I've spent many a week in Firenze and I'm perfectly alright. well no I'm not, but it was nothing to do with Firenze! the biggest health risk you'll have is too much pasta and grappa..
