Food? Again?

This is where you can discuss your homework, family, just about anything, make strange sounds and otherwise discuss things which are really not related to the Lancer-series. Yes that means you can discuss other games.

Food? Again?

Yes, I am looking to add one-dish-meals to the list. Any ideas? Veggy or meat dishes welcomed. Yes Esq, food again. Any favorites?

The old thread was too old and big to drag out again.

This is one of our favorites at my house. My wife takes chicken breasts, rice, and cream of chicken soup and puts them in a casserole dish. Don't ask me to give you a specific recipe because I don't think she even has one. Instead of cream of chicken we've also used those marinade sauces they sell, they have all different kinds like garlic, teryaki, ect...

Another favorite at my house is home made pizza, if you have the right dough recipe this is really good. The worst part is kneading the dough, but I got around this last Christmas by getting my wife a Kitchaide mixer. They're expensive new, but I got a refurbished one that came with a limited warranty and looked as good as new. Grating cheese is no fun either but I bought a grater attachment for the Kitchenaide. I havent tried it out yet because it's a birthday present for my wife and that's not until wednsday, but it ought to rip through a block of cheese like anything, with a 500 Watt motor turning it.

Let's get those missiles ready to destroy the universe!!

I think that your prospective contributors deserve an accounting of what has happened to recipes already posted.

So give it up Fd: Did you actually try any of those recipes and were they any good?
Please list the ones you've cooked up and indicate how they fared.

I have tryed a few of the veggy recipes so far, as I am alone, the others will have to be tryed in small amounts. I have them organized in a single file about 75kb now. The main idea, is to have different possiblitites, even if some must be modified to be kosher. That is a small hinderence, but I look forward to a few of the BBQ ones this summer.

Others, I hope, can also make use of them as well.

@Esqy,

You need to keep track of how many times you say this. What is it now? the 5th Edition?

How about tortilla wraps filled with salmon?
Mix up some canned salmon with mayonaise, peas (cook them 2 minutes), "kappertjes" (don't know the English word) and a little bit of garlic. Put some salad leaves on a cold tortilla, add the salmon mix, roll up and serve with a mix salad.

It takes 15 minutes, doesn't leave that much of a mess and is delicious!

I'm hungry

Well my mom got this thing she makes, translated Sheperds pie, you can make it as an one dish meal, or add veggies.

take mince, add salt and pepper, a potatoe and onion as well as a tamato. Boil till its not raw(couldnt remember the correct word)

Peel and cut up potatoes, boil till soft, mash with milk and butter. Now put the mince in a thing you can bake it, the mashed potatoes on top
make funny patterns in potatoes with fork and bake

very delicious- if you do it the right way
You could also make a cheese sami
or eat an apple a wonderful one dish meal

Goodbye is such a little word and yet it brings such pain to think; we were best friends once and we'll never meet again
