Replaying games...

This is where you can discuss your homework, family, just about anything, make strange sounds and otherwise discuss things which are really not related to the Lancer-series. Yes that means you can discuss other games.

Replaying games...

Any one else like me, in that I get unhappy with how you do in a game and start over? Trying to get better scores, time, points? My 4th time starting KOTOR. I have gotten to heading to the Starforge.

Sometimes. I used to do that in Morrowind, mainly because I was never happy with my character. Of course, it took me a LONG time to complete the game that way .

There are some games out there that I love so much, that when I beat them, I have no problems starting over. Jedi Academy is one of those games. Knights of the Old Republic is another one. Freelancer was one of those games that I loved when I first got it. I still love it. I just don't play it anymore. A game has to have something special to make you come back to it. I can't seem to describe it, though. Need for Speed: Porsche Unleashed and Underground are awesome examples, too.

This is probably the place to ask, so does anyone know of any good new release RPGs (SP)? The last one that I picked up was KOTOR, and I haven't seen any decent ones around since then. I have a hankerin' for some RPG'in'!

There were some RPG's before KOTOR, like Baldur's Gate and Neverwinter Nights. But KOTOR trounced the competition. When KOTOR 2 releases next February, it's gonna kick some major ass.

Thanks for that Final.

Mee - I am aware. I have BG, BG 2, IWD, Morrowind + Expansions, NWN + Expansions, DS, and a whole series of SSI "Gold Box" abadnonware games, and many others. I just want something new.

I want to get the disks for final Fantasy remakes. The Terra one and the FF3 nitendo(sp) one. Its out, just have to find it again.

Is FF7 any good? Everyone keeps going on about it as if it were the be-all and end-all. I understand that it was ported from the PS2 to PC (I think), but I have never seen it for sale.

And Final, a large number of the games on that site were MMORPGS . Whatever happened to the SP experience?

Final Fantasy 7 was and is very good. It is on PS and out for PC, I hav it. 4 disks long. Just need a MS game pad. Final Fantasy, Phantasy Star, Chrono Triger and Cross. Trigger was very good, but is PS only at this time. FF8 is great, but better played on PS, but is playable on PC. Very good graphics on the cut sienes(sp).

Ah, I see. But what do you mean? You need a game pad to play it? Is that mandatory?

Post Mon Jun 07, 2004 5:45 pm

It can be played with the keyboard, but the movement and escapes is harder without the pad. The movement and attack, ect functions on the pad just make it a lot easyer, almost like playing it on the PS. But there are still functions that can be done by keyboard at the same time as the pad is being used.

Doesn't sound like a terribly good port to me then.

FF7, with game pad, plays just like the PS version. You might try mouse use, but the walking/running is a bit mor difficult. I just havn't played in about 3 months. Finished the PC version several times over. It can last more than 44 hours, especially if you take the time to breed chochabos. Gold saucer is the place to race them.
