That''s one big CPU fan...

This is where you can discuss your homework, family, just about anything, make strange sounds and otherwise discuss things which are really not related to the Lancer-series. Yes that means you can discuss other games.

That''s one big CPU fan...

I was just browsing the internet (as you do), and I stumbled upon this link. It is likely that this is a joke, but it's still a bloody big CPU fan!

Here's a picture;

I just wish that they would tell us IF the fan is real and, if so, what the specs are.

Indeed, the Mobo is an oversized mock up though. It looks like it's made from plasticine.

I see what you mean; some of the slots *do* look a little odd. Still, it''s amusing. I imagine that if you DID have a fan that big, you would have to cut a hole in your case. Similar to the big air-intakes that cars with superchargers have poking through the bonnet .

maybe its for a super computer?

If it was vented out of the box,it might cool the whole PC good. Unless it is a photosho deal, it does look real. Judgeing by the ram slot size, it looks to be 3-4 inchs tall.

can we get fries with it?

thats huge what sort ofsize pc would need something like that

Gowser - Are you crazy? There are some computer "enthusiasts" who would kill for a fan like that!

@Esky:Listen, just because YOU want one, doesn't mean the rest of us do.

Bah! I don't want one. Besides, I can't even overclock my own CPU anyway .

Post Tue Jun 01, 2004 3:53 pm

wow a fan that big would cool my home office but i don't think i would want a computer that used that fan space is it short supply right now

Post Tue Jun 01, 2004 11:11 pm

I'm guessing that the CPU is inside the Fan assembly? because it looks like it is just interfaced into the Mobo, actually, it looks like a PSU with space for a CPU...
I dont need anything that big yet, if i wanted to cool my system id rp it apart, hardwire it, and use and industrial-strength worker fan in my garage to cool it and have the monitor far enough away so i cant hear the hum...
