Im saving up for a new digital camera, can anyone recommend a decent one to me? it must have an optical zoom, would be nice to have some more features other than 'photo' and 'video'

Haven't you already ask this?

I'm currently saving my pennies for a Canon EOS 300D Digital SLR.
I've always wanted a digital jobbie, but the quality never came up to scratch of the 35mm camera's. However since the DSLR's have come down in price so much I've been drooling over them. Still a bit pricey but the 300D is by far the cheapest and more than suitable for an amature like me.

Looks good. How much are they? I've always wanted a 5MP camera; a large one. I have big hands so it's hard fiddling with those tiny Pentax and Canon models.

I priced one about a week ago; $2000 AUD, with a 18-55mm lense, flash card, USB reader and a case. As I said still pretty pricey but a helluva lot cheaper than what they used to be.

EDIT: Oh and don't worry about it being to small, they are a whomping lot of camera. They are a lot bigger than what they appear in the product pics.

Hmm, too much for me. I don't need anything *that* good (yet) .

how many features does it have?

What do I look like, an instruction manual? Have a look at the link, there's plenty of info on it's features. Actually here's a better link.

what about this?

Fair price for a 5MP point and shoot camera. Gotta burst mode on there too, never been to big on the video feature though, always seemed a bit gimicky to me. I'd rather save $50 and go without it.
