go wash your mouth out with soap, Ed. You know full well that the only way to serve Parmesan is to grate it yourself.

He's right, Indy. Some good (or at least decent) quality Parmesan cheese (such as "Grana Padano" ) grated freshly for each dish is the only way to go.

There is some grated, course, sold in stores in the specialty foods section, at triple price. No extras added to it and not bad taste to it.

Gentlemen.... I was trying to stay within the boundaries requested by Chips. He said quick, cheap and he said not much bother. With those criteria in mind, one must re-think what is best to start with.

Before one may walk, one must learn to crawl. In Chips case, he has to at least make something that interests his taste buds enough to consider whether it is worth his while to invest more thought, attention or time to make something even better. If he likes this quick cacciatore recipe might he, at some point on a weekend consider doing it up the REAL way? Grate his own cheese, etc.?

Sheesh.

Sorry Indy, but that cheap greated Parmesan ends up ruining recipes half the time. Believe me, I know .

Any good chicken stirfry recipes? Chinese or other will do. any with green onions? getting hungry already and it ain't even the weekend.

We have a very nice chicken reciepe, I just have to find it, which I will do later(6 in the morning is not qa good time for searching and I have to leave for Hockey)

but as for stirfry, we usuall make up our own, cook the chicken, debone it cut it into strips, salt and pepper it(black pepper or cayanne peepper) Then you can add mixed herbs and whatever you like, Rosemary and olive seasoning also goes well with chicken.Then you heat olive iolin a pan and fry the chicken in there
