Cool rendition of a song

This is where you can discuss your homework, family, just about anything, make strange sounds and otherwise discuss things which are really not related to the Lancer-series. Yes that means you can discuss other games.

gromit you seem to have a good grasp on my favorite band...but no mention of Umma Gumma? For shame.

"Several small fury species gathered together in a cave grooving with a pict"...now there's a song for Floyd purist only.

For the record, I do have the mpeg "Dark side of the Rainbow" which is an eerie rendition that has to be seen to be believed.

Ummagumma was a little too experimental for my liking - and I really am a Floyd purist. It was like they hadn't found their feet yet imho. Yet I know floyd fans who swear anything later than that album was just a sell-out. I suppose its in the ear of the beholder.

Several Small Furry Species was just plain weird! but funny, very funny.

@Viator - you should dig out his copy of "Wish You Were Here", if he's a floyd fan he's bound to have it. Thats just an awesome album.

I still like A Saucerful of Secrets best of all their albums , & imho Set The Controls For the Heart of the Sun was true Floyd at their best - during and after DSOTM they became the Roger Waters band. Don't get me wrong, I love DSOM and WYWH, but the original Floyd formula was more creative and interesting (again imho)

After all, you'll never get another Corporal Clegg will you?

A sign of how motr waters is; those "classic" Floyd tracks from DSOTM mix disturbingly very well with orchestral music. I listened to some cd a m8 lent me with Floyd stuff played by philharmonic orchestra and I was appalled - firstly because it wasn't true Floyd, secondly because I liked it which meant I was motr myself, a dreadful thought.
