Music Scores and Darker GAme Tunes

Hey all you TLR lovers i submitted a file for everyone to enjoy a little rendition of teh good ole Imperial March from starwars....it is pretty cool for the fact it gives a harsher spin on the original score...teh only reason Metallica was put infrom of teh name is to make a referance to what sound i went withj on teh guitar work.... i played the guitar pieces on my 1997 Gibson Gothic Explorer and did all the other symphony pieces with Cakewalk 2003. The score was compiled and mastered with Pro Tools 8....i hope it is has a good impact on the modding world and the musical world for its idea of making a darker sounding starwars......anyone wants any other songs remade....jsut e-mail me at [email protected]

iIf anyone cares for any musical ideas to be brought to life or work on scores with me please feel free to drop me an e-mail i love to help everyone...thanks guys havea good one

Post Sun May 23, 2004 2:01 pm

it is not REALLY metallica for one... and for 2 it was written by the lucas fils company many many years ago... i saw teh original file many years ago on Kazaa...i took the original file...REWORKED the crap out of it last year....and re posted it on P2P networks awhile back you are correct it is NOT an original idea but a re-organized version and re mixed and cleared up from the bad timing issues....metallica never released a version of teh imperial march those were speculations like everyone was saying...now if everyone has issues wit hthis then fine whatever i am not going to argue cause it is boarderline plagurism....but when you completely remix the song fixing the opriginal musical errors and timing issues thne you CAN take credit for the song i WILL re word things better... i to an UNDERTAKING in re working teh orioginal march by fixing some off key mistakes by the ORIGINAL author who ever that was if anyone REALLY knows by all means TELL ME cause they deserve due credit....but till then i am standing fast on teh simple fact i fixed the original errors and made the score better that it WAS at its original state...i reposted in on Limewire P2P a while back. but you are right i am not the ORIGINAL author just the remixer...i apologize for my POOR wording and excuse me for making a bad taste in the communities mouth and i would be happy if as you all said to take teh post off cause of my bad wording and since NOONE knows the original author.... to whoever that is they did a good rendition and they deserve their due credit. But as i stated before i reworked it and fixed timing issues, out of key instruments, and the guitar i fixed with my OWN guitar...exact tones and riffs form the original but non the less a redone version of teh original....

i apologize with all my sincerity and i will take my profile off TLR if it is required and if that is the case i will have no roblem because i do not want this site or this community to look bad in the eyes of others....if so please post a thread here and i will do so...

It's okay dark_shadow, just cite YOUR sources next time. Then teh whole website won't go up in a riot OVER just one little problem with not citing teh proper sources. I personally think it WAS fairly good.

I just couldn't help with the capitalized words and the 'teh's.

Listen i am sorry for the misinterpretation on my part i should have added theinformation that i discovered the original file on the internet a while back. Furthermore all i HONESTLY did to the file was edit te original mistakes on teh actual MP3. A few errors are as such, mistakes in the key signitures, mild tempo changes and fixes, and various other modifications that are not too noticable but still were in dire need of being completed. The original fine was creadted by an anonymous artist BASED off of the metallica remake on the 3rd night of teh s&m preformances. it was not recorded and produced by metallica, michael kamen nor bob rock. BUT metallica and the sanfransico symphony DO need credits and i am crediting them for the preformance. The person who made the file in question is to date unknown BUT the original preformance was by metallica live in 1999.

My actual position on this is as follows all i did was redo the composition. This composition was a rendition made with MIDI instruments and a digital audio....the orchestra piece was done with MIDI the original guitar was done with a real guitar and recorded and added over the composition, all drums are channel 10 general midi drums. I would REALLY love to know the ACTUAL author that posted the file back in 2000. He deserves credit for the amazing work he did. i will reiderate my statement i apologize for my BAD wording and really bad description and i should not have taken credit for teh original file....but however i did fix the errors in the original music...

In closing i would be happy to ask the moderators to take this file off the dowloads section if deemed a nessisity. I am not trying to take credit for the original work and if i accidentally worded it that way i am VERY VERY sorry. I am not trying to take any form of credit for the ORIGINAL creation of said song. if i made it sound that way i was wrong for saying so. so all of the TLC community PLEASE accept my apology....i am treuly sorry for my failure to give porper credits....thank you for you time and support.

ok i understand, but u never answered me. how long ago did you put this on the P2P network?

Post Mon May 24, 2004 6:45 am

you know i am not sure of exact dates but i will ASSUME (lots of drinks hav been in between then and now) but it was about possibly 9 months AFTER i saw the original file.....(could be wrong) but in the tail end of 2000 beginning of 01 not sure of exact dates.....and re posted last year on kazaa in november but sadly it was not downloaded all that much cause i was not available to file share just the same as back in the day.... i have been leary of file sharing since the whole napster thing (kinda along the same lines right? ) but it was well after the first person who posted their creation....umm do you know te actual composer....and i am not eaning metallica/micheal kamen..... i am wanting to know the ACTUAL person who did the computer rendition. I was never able to credit him a while back when i used it in a presentation i did a while back for my Digital Audio class. all i added in my presentation credits list was sadly...."imperial march author unknown remixed by ************"

I hope that sort of answeres you question but sadly i am VERY terrible with dates having a 3 yr old 2 snakes an iguana and a career and a wife makes me retarded

have a good one

Imperial march author is flipping John Williams. I don't care who remixed what - that is the guy responsible for the tune you hear - regardless of what format etc you hear it in.
