This is an interesting read...

This is where you can discuss your homework, family, just about anything, make strange sounds and otherwise discuss things which are really not related to the Lancer-series. Yes that means you can discuss other games.

This is an interesting read...

Just one more topic for today , there is a story up about a guy who was trying to sell a Powerbook on Ebay, and was the target of someone trying to commit fraud. Apparently, the buyer had hijacked an account, and had set up a phony "escrow" site to get the Powerbook without paying for it. The guy with the Powerbook discovered that he was being scammed, and decided to have his revenge on the scammer. It's a great read (but a LONG one), and I think that many of you will get a kick out of it, but I am still doubtful as to its authenticity. I have no reason not to believe that it's a true story, but I'm the suspicious type .

Sorry for all of the new threads today, but a lot has happened. This is the last on for today, I swear!

ROTFLMAO This is the best yet. Wouldn't do it my self, but a hoot none the less.

Aye, it is a good tale. I really want to see the email the "Jeff" gets from the guy (if any); it'd be great .

That's frickin hilarious, it would've been nice to have gotten some closure on it though.

There's still time for that Mustang (I hope), but I can't access the original thread at work, so I can't tell how old this comedy is .

That's pretty good. Serves the barber or his significant other right. I'm looking at the original thread. No response yet. Last update May 16 2004.

May 16? Excellent, thanks old chum. Let me know what happens; I'm here for another four hours; damn eight-hour shifts .

Post Sun May 16, 2004 6:25 pm

Some how I doubt the guy would have the nerve to write back complaining. But still, he could get mad enough.

Post Sun May 16, 2004 6:34 pm

That's what I meant Final; imagine the email. It would be a "You ?!!?@?$?%^, I'm going to sue you, you *^*%%^*$!!?!?" sort of thing. It'd be quite amusing .

I'm not going to watch a thread for you for 4 hours. I've got other things I'm doing.

I've got other things I'm doing.
Ugh, using english like that, please tell me that these "other things" are online language classes .

Fine, be that way; I'm sure that someone will tell me if and when the exciting conclusion is posted .

I think you need to take an esquilaxative because you're a little anal retentive.

No new updates.

"Esquilaxative"? Can't some up with any new jokes, eh?

By the way, I'm obessive , not anal .

I detest scammers, but one thing I've noticed over the years is that no-one falls for a scam like a scammer, it's the ingrained greed and an arrogant assumption that no-one is as clever as they are. I've never turned it around like this, but I've laid traps for scammers before; free money is a great one, scammers are incredibly gullible when it comes to draws and lotteries etc, you can get them to sign up for anything if they think there's the chance of a wodge of cash at the end of it. I managed to fob 5K of dodgy software onto some cheating scumbag who'd done me, years ago, then reported the creep to the authorities with no paperwork I was in the clear and the scammer had all his stock impounded.

every day is like Sunday, every day is silent and grey..

There's supposedly a thread on the SA forums about this, since that's where it originated. I don't have a membership though, so I don't know where it is exactly.
