Eurovision - Who do you think will win?

This is where you can discuss your homework, family, just about anything, make strange sounds and otherwise discuss things which are really not related to the Lancer-series. Yes that means you can discuss other games.

what an odd name.....*thinks of all the shows we have in the US*.......never mind

Are there entrants from Andorra or San Marino? What about Liechtenstein or the Vatican A totally uninformed American mind wants to know.

@esky they are original songs, although I use the word "songs" loosely

And they don't mime, they do sing live...all you have to do is look at the UK's entry last year for proof of that. We had a terrible terrible terrible "caberet style" duo called "Jemini" (yep, that spelling is correct!) who couldn't sing for s*** - and on the night they totally bottled it and sang completely out of tune. feckin' hilarious that was

I don't see what's wrong with entering "My Lovely Horse" or Vic Reeve's "Vienna"

every day is like Sunday, every day is silent and grey..

I'm in the music business (not for long though, but that's another story) so I'll shine my professional *cough* light on it. I truly believe that GErmany and Holland (not because I live in Holland) had the best songs. Holland had a nice ballad and the German dude sang a jzz kinda song (IIRC). To bad we don't have that many friends in the European Union (what do you want with a Prime Minister looking like Harry Potter).

My advice? Stop watching and stop participating. It's all about politics these days.

I liked Cyprus. A very nice song.

Join my Army of Daftness and together we will rule the world of TRL, I mean RTL, I mean... damn, never mind.

I tried looking for a nice sig pic, preferrably one of a Hong Kong retail market street with all the ugly signs all over the place.
Anyone who can help he get this gets a cooky

Hmm, it just seems like a waste of time and money to me, especially if the results are as suspect as many of you seem to believe.

@wiz - hey, I didn't know you were in the music business! So was I, but I managed to get out!! what do you do?

@nick - oddly, the cyprus entry was a young 16 year old girl who lives in gillingham, kent, england - where I work!

Hmm there's a show ehre in America I saw last night, I forgot what it was called
Anyhoo they find the Worst singers in America. Then they narrow it down to the last 20 and then from there the first place winner gets a record deal and 100,000$. The funny thing is that they actually think they're good(they don't know the judges are looking for the worst singers). They have to give the good singers bad comments though.

lol. that sounds fantastic!! just the kind of crap that I enjoy watching...what was it called?? I've got to look out for that when it hits england!

I think you'll prefer "Planet of the Men and Women" myself..

Post Wed May 19, 2004 4:28 am

ok taw you've lost me this time....??

Post Wed May 19, 2004 5:49 am

it's actually called "I am not an Animal" and I can't explain it to you as it defies description, being the product of severely deranged minds. It is very funny.

linky

aaaah that thing! I've seen it advertised a couple of times but never got around to watching it - good cast though by the looks of things, especially Steve Coogan

Well, in the music business... I work in a cd-store. The name is: Music Store. There are two big music selling companies here in Holland. The Music Store and The Free Record Shop (which is, unluckly, not free). I believe the store where I work in is ranked #6 in the franchise sales (or something). It's fun, we get celebrities in our shop every now and then

Though, in a few weeks I will hand in my resign papers and I'll start working for a beach kinda club thingie as a waiter. Fun, sun, beach and a lot of fit women
