Interesting stuff. Well I guess that it is a good thing, I would have thought that the Table would be far larger than it currently is anyway.

They make new elements all the time, the thing is that most of the newest ones last for literally a nano second. Is it really a natural element, or can these synthesised ones really be considered a part of our universe. As they can be made, you can argue yes.........but since it lasts for such a small time frame, unless its continually made, it doesn't exist at all.......so no. Strange.

The scientists are predicting reaching an 'island of stability' above 118 or 120 or so that would be a place where synthesized elements would last longer... I read on another forum that #118 should be called 'becausewecanium' since it would technically be a metalloid noble gas...

well, there just giving it stupid latin names, who would seriously say 'Gimme some unununtanium'?
I have a computed Periodic table that goes up to number 120, mind you, half of the last 8 arent even discovered yet, and how are they going to use them is beyond me...
