Recent TLR email problems..

Hmm, methinks that it has something to do with e-mail scourers? I've heard of a lot of viruses/programs that scan a page for email links and automatically sends to those adresses. If this is the case, how can we hide our email addresses in our profiles?

You can't. However the best thing to do (as a lot of other guys have done) is to put something easily recognisable as false so folk'll know to remove it. IE Gromit has his as [email protected], so anyone with half a brain would know to remove the 'diespamdie' bit. The other option is to remove your email addy all together.

Which is something I've done. But mainly it's to do with rampant posters who I didn't want emailing me, a certain Cool Guy.

Like mine is not @yipyipyahoo.com. That would be hilarious if it was though. Actually whenever I get mail from someone from TLR I check to see if its something of importance just from the subject line. If I wasn't expecting it or if it doesn't sound legit, DELETE!!

I haven't gotten email from many people, so It could have been true. Anyway let's not hijack this thread to talk about email problems in general.

I just changed my email address to prevent this, especially since sw was sent spam under my name. Bloody spoofers, a brain-dead yak could do it!
