This is where you can discuss your homework, family, just about anything, make strange sounds and otherwise discuss things which are really not related to the Lancer-series. Yes that means you can discuss other games.

just listen to the desperate weaving and spinning to try to big up such innate inferiority, while totally failing to answer the point don't you worry Esqy, you stick with your Uncle Taw, not Mustafa Nvidia.
when/if Nvidia come up with something better than Ati, I'll be the first to admit it. I used to swear by Nvidia's, but their last worthy offering was the Ti4200, once they brought out the FX chipset and I stupidly bought not one but two, thinking there couldn't be anything intrinsically wrong with Nvidia, oo was I wrong. FX series? complete cr*p, the very top end one's were/are ok, but for the wodge yer expected to shell out, ATi gives better performance for less money. Am I not 100% right, Esqy?

I knew that'd get y'all riled up. BTW, I do agree, the mid-low end FX's were/are utter crap. But I still think the 6800 and X800 are so evenly matched that I would only buy on price. All that minor "it doesn't have this this feature" crap doesn't make a lick of difference when you're playing. I've yet to see anyone who's said "Wow you really notice that the pixel shader shades those pixels a lot better than the other card." That is unless they're studying a screenshot under a microscope and even then it's still pretty hard to say.
LOL - Didn't know you still could get one. I thought the last ones came out in 2002. Is Matrox still around? Seriously, I haven't seen much about them since the 9K Radeons came out.
I read somewhere a while back that they got a bad rap for no good reason but it all depended on what you wanted. They were better at multi-monitor support as I recall or was it anti-aliasing? Something like that but expensive as sin.

Matrox
always very good cards, preferred choice for CAD etc without going to full-on pro kit like Pure or Wildcat. It's been a while since i last owned a Matrox, a Mystique 4 waaaay back when, but it was bl**dy good in it's day,a nd gave me no bother ata ll. Cost an arm and a leg at the time. Gave it away to some slob.
Apparently the definition is mint with a Parhelia esp if you have a good CRT monitor. if it doesn't pan out, I've still got me Raddy and i can sell the Matrox on.
