This is going to far

This is where you can discuss your homework, family, just about anything, make strange sounds and otherwise discuss things which are really not related to the Lancer-series. Yes that means you can discuss other games.

I hate reality tv in general. Who needs it? you want reality, go outside and live in the real world there, plenty of intriguing **** going on every day. This is just sick though i agree

This seems topical to this thread.

I heard on the radio today that ABC has edited out the portion with the five couples, but they're still going to air the episode anyway.

The sad truth of the matter is that there a too many underage teen mothers in the US. Many today DO see giving the child up for adoption as a way out of the economic responsibility that child raising involves... never mind the maturity required. SOME of these young girls are the daughters of very uptight parents and who somehow have either run away or otherwise hid from them the fact of their pregnancy. Others have fallen into this predicament due to ignorance (no education about sex) or lack of maturity, of course.

20/20 is NOT a reality TV show but Barabara Walters has been a ratings whore for her entire career. She will, basically, do anything to put a viewer grabber on the air. She is very unscrupulous and is known to do anything to upstage her fellow presenters.

This one takes the cake because I am sure that she has convinced her ABC superiors that she, as an adoptive mother, will be able to wrap this tawdry subject into an inspirational message about the virtues of adoption and the plight of the undwed teenage mothers in this country.

Speaking for myself, I'm not surprised by this, as I thought that it was only a matter of time. I hate "reality" television (ALL reality television), the people who star in it, the people who produce it, and the people who patronise it by watching such voyeuristic excrement (no offence to anyone on TLR who does watch it; I'm speaking in general terms). I have NEVER watched a so-called "reality" show, and I never intend to. There are many reasons for this, but principally among them is the fact that it is exploitative, play to the lowest common denominator, and play to societal stereotypes. Even "innocent" reality shows such as *rolls eyes* "Queer Eye...", play upon the stereotypes of homosexual individuals in order to get ratings. Well, I have a bit of a rant (although I have pages more), so I think I've expressed myself enough, so I'll take my podium and leave .

Now, whats the NEXT thing?

The one who kills everyone in the house the most painfull way win a boatload of cash?

Only if we're lucky, Orillion.

OMG! This really is going to far...

Durring an interview, a statment said to some members of a jury durring an interview, "You must of felt like you were on a reality show".

When has reality become "like a reality show"???

If you all want to know whats next one of our oh so wonderful american TV channels (forget which) just launched a new reality series on people who work in morgues and everything that goes on there. Now tell me that isn't sick.
