Anyone know what this file is??

I found this file called dpusys.ini in my folder of Milkshape models....It's seems to be a virus as when i delete it, the file pops right back in the folder....tried renaming the folder...cant do that...anyone know anything? tried searching on symantec's website to no avail...help appreciated

What makes you think it's a virus? It may just be a system file.

What does it say when you open it?

While I can't be 100% sure, I've got $10 that says you've got a program creating the .ini file everytime it runs. It's definately not a virus that's for sure. Why don't you open it up in notepad and have a look for any clues as to what's creating it.

That's what I assume Mustang, but he still hasn't responded to my original question. I assumed that his virus scanner had picked the file up, and that's why he's worried.

Esq it also appeared on my desktop, which is what led me to think it was a virus. Seems almost like spyware or malware by the contents.

Mmm, it almost looks like some type of cookie. Have you tried scanning it with AAW or Spybot?
