Tom Leyer? (dunno how to spell his second name)

He is (or was) and American bloke who wrote disturbing songs such as 'the masochistic tango' He then got locked up (mental asylum), but my friend has an obsession with his songs, and I was wondering if anyone else had heard of him.

as far as i am aware its lehrer and its the masochism tango
similar stuff to john valby definitely pg rated at least though very funny
other classics include poisoning pigeons in the park adn cows with guns
