This is where you can discuss your homework, family, just about anything, make strange sounds and otherwise discuss things which are really not related to the Lancer-series. Yes that means you can discuss other games.

Run the Help, search for "compatability" and select "Getting older programs to run on Windows XP". It'll make the game 'think' it's running on an older version

unf some games just won't run on NT-based systems, even XP, and like this, some won't even install. if you could install it you might bodge it ok with compatibility mode, but if it won't even install from autoplay, yer gonna have to force-bodge it.

here's the linky to the support info. That should force it in, but you will have to create a shortcut AND alter it's compatibility settings to W98/Me compatibility. Good luck, Ben I'll be in all night if you need me. Stop Kazaa-ing it's bad for you.

Why not download "QFixApp"? It's basically a more advanced version of the "Compatiblity Mode" with many more features. You can find it on MS.com. It might be worth a try. Either that or play Thief through DOSBox using VDMSound.

You've never heard of "DOSBox" or "VDMSound"?!?! *Shakes head* DB is a DOS emulator that runs in Windows. VDM is a soundcard emulator that allows modern soundcards to appear to be, and to produce music like, older Adlib/Sound BLaster-type cards. You can find them at SourceForge.
