Wtf is this?

This is where you can discuss your homework, family, just about anything, make strange sounds and otherwise discuss things which are really not related to the Lancer-series. Yes that means you can discuss other games.

a bit what?

I get a lot of these types of spam...not sure what the relevance of them is, but they all have a great deal of "mixed up" lettering...I delete them without reading usually, as with all spam.

maybe its to get around the spam filters that look for specific words?

Post Mon Apr 19, 2004 5:29 am

Some kind of random word generator is involved. I wonder if it a hacker experimenting with new circumventions and proving that it works to someone else on a real time basis.

ff - That's it exactly. Spam-filters look for specific phrases such as "Save now!" and their ilk, and having a random message bypasses such filters. The only problem is that it makes it extremely difficult to advertise products . Of course, it still means that you can infect people who open attachments (if any), and still end up flooding the internet with useless garbage.

ff, if you don't know the person who is emailing you, why do you open the message? That's a sure way to get a worm. Mark my words.

not if you dont download attachments

See the new variant of the Netsky virus.....click on the subject, and your infected.

According to my information, as I quoted in that topic, that's only if you don't patch Outlook Express Chips. The user who does not utilise OE will not be affected.

ff - It's the principle; why open an email from someone you don't know, with a subject line that has no relevance to you?
