Dreams...

This is where you can discuss your homework, family, just about anything, make strange sounds and otherwise discuss things which are really not related to the Lancer-series. Yes that means you can discuss other games.

I finally had one that I (partially) remember! It had a speaking cat in it, and it was hypnotising people. It's was pretty good. The cat "got what was coming to him" in the end though!

Note: I'm serious!

I don't remember all of this particular dream, but one part of it was me searching this very own forum, looking at threads and such. It was weird.

ok, explain this oldie:

i was at stargate command, shortly after coming out of the gate, and was on way to my quarters, and i was trying to prove to some girl that was walking with me that i could walk through walls, but it didnt work, about 10 minutes of stuff i dont remember, then i was flying around a newly made hole in front of the gate to make room for an artifact, not to mention the honeycomb that the rest of the floor had been turned into, last thing i remember about that dream was fighting some jaffa telekinetically.

woah, had a cool dream about splinter cell last night...kinda.

if anyone's played the multiplayer or is familiar with it, they'll know its 2v2 3rd person meets 1st person in the most original form of combat ive seen since...something cool i saw last year..possibly planetside.

Aaaaanyway, i was a spy dude, sneaking around with someone in the roof of this office block trying to find a computer to hack and get out with the data. I dropped down into the office and started work on the computer. Then my mate drops down and covers me. Halfway thru the hack he gets off a couple of shots at some baddies coming to stop us but gets nailed by a sniper hit to his forehead.
I sprang back up into the ceiling and was out of there, hiding. So THEN they released this crazy robot dog made of numbers to catch me. And the dream then started to focus on the animal and how it was formed from a mathematical equation. Really mad stuff happened. Then i was woken up at an ungodly hour to goto a dentists apointment which was lame cause i really wanted to learn more about this dog.

@steve sorry matee, you couldn't be further from the mark if you tried. I was 13 at the time and the only major decision I had pending was whether or not to buy a new ruler for my maths assignment.

I've thought about dream interpretation for a long time, and along with a couple of years studying and being studied in cognitive psychology, came to the conclusion that dreams are simply a confused mass of subconscious thoughts gathered from your every day life. It is true that emotions such as anxiety and anger often come through into our dreams, but rarely in such a way that they need to be "interpreted". Freud would have interpreted my dream as being a mass of sexually frustrated (bridges, glass, mazes etc) self-hate (fighting oneself with 2 opposing personalities helping along the way)....but the fact of the matter is, I'd simply eaten too late in the day and had been playing the 80s classic "Guantlet" for 48 hours straight! Great dream though especially as I still remember it 15 years later!

I once dreamed a cute chick who told me her name, surname and address (which I remembered when I woke up). However, my sister told me to forget the whole thing since I'm married, so I never tried searching for such person.

An idea came to my head and is now desperately searching for brain

My favorite and weird dream is a reacuring one. I do something in the dream that you can not normally do. Like jumping real high. At that point I know I'm dreaming and take off flying. Lots of fun till I get 2 stories up and realize , I'm afraird of hights.

I'm going to post before I finish the topic and say this

Eh_Steve, shut up let the mystics handle the Dreams and go back to your little fantasies, Leonharts dream is completely different from your "accurate" intrepretation, I would go intrepret it but the forums would crash due to the sheer amount of text used.

Edit

Final, your having semi-lucid dreams, stop it f you want rest, they're not good.

I once had a dream that I was trapped in the "Off-Topic" forum of a website called "Lancer's Reactor"...

Post Fri Apr 16, 2004 6:48 am

Hey..... Get outta my head. This is MY dream!

you have no idea what you're talking about, I was a fully lucid dreamer until the age of about 15/16....I never slept better. It doesn't matter whether the dream is lucid or not, dreams only happen in the 3rd quarter of the sleep cycle...this is when you experience Rapid Eye Movement...if you are deprived of this part of your sleep cycle THEN you will be over-tired (and eventually depressive and potentially psychotic), but lucid dreams do not deprive you of this part of your sleep. In fact, as a lucid dreamer, it is likely you will spend longer in this part of your sleep cycle and therefore are more likely to awake refreshed and feeling ready to go. Please don't slag off other TLR members unless you really know what you're talking about!

I really do enjoy those dreams when I know I'm dreaming. I'm not really tired after, just wish they could go on. I'm am the most tired if when I don't dream at all, like I think I just went to bed.
