We Will Rock You

This is where you can discuss your homework, family, just about anything, make strange sounds and otherwise discuss things which are really not related to the Lancer-series. Yes that means you can discuss other games.

We Will Rock You

I just went to see this (the musical) and I really enjoyed it. In my opinion its one of the best musicals made. And not just for the music.

Has anyone else seen it, and if so, what do you think?

hmmm, dunno if ive seen that one...

anyway, thats my opinion, if you hate queen then....

Haven't caught it yet...all my queen-fan-friends love it...but I've never squeezed myself into the theatre to see it.

I went to see Oliver! last week though with Ron Moody playing Fagan...what a guy...80+ and he doesn't look a day over 50...stole the show unsurprisingly.

Best musical ever? Better than Seven Brides, Guys and Dolls, West Side Story, JC Superstar, Brigadoon, The King and I, Into the Woods (personal favourite of mine there), A Chorus Line, My Fair Lady, Chicago, Oliver, La Cage Aux Folles, Little Shop of Horrors, Grease, Oliver, Chess, Fiddler on the Roof, Tommy and Starlight Express? Hmmm...are you sure its not the music thats influencing you here?

I'm slightly biased though as I've worked with the west end casts for 9 of the above shows....and when you do a run of 12 weeks, 10 shows a week, you end up walking away humming the tunes endlessly and fancying half of the chorus line

Brigadoon's a private thing. For public consumption I like Showboat best, but most people know Hoagy Carmichael, but everyone knows stuff like 7 Brides, Oklahoma, and the King & I.

Shows I've seen live: Aida and Chicago, both killers, realy awsome pieces.

I got the Queen soundtrack (spread out over 20 different CD's ) But I haven't seen the musical yet and I don't know if I will ever see it.

Btw, Queen is excellent music

hmmm... i guess it could just be the music.

i like the storyline though as well, and i agree with it

i wont spoil it but its basically about the future of music, or the absence of it

The only one I can recall, was done by Queen.

i dont do plays

Post Thu Apr 15, 2004 11:26 am

Seen plenty of plays, but I've never been to a musical. I've seen plenty on PBS etc., but there are only two I've seen on TV that I'd want to see in person. Hair and Jesus Christ Superstar.
