Drawing

This is where you can discuss your homework, family, just about anything, make strange sounds and otherwise discuss things which are really not related to the Lancer-series. Yes that means you can discuss other games.

Drawing

Is there any of you that are really good at drawing and can draw evening wear?

the only two I know who are/have been professional drawerers is me and grom. I can turn out the occasional bit of fashion design when needs must. I'm sure there's lots of other people here who can draw competently, but I don't know who they are.

tell me what you want and I'll see what I can knock out for you, I haven't got much to do over the next few days anyway. I take it you want design concept visualisations yes, like the Freelancer concept art? You know that concept art especially for clothing is highly stylised, don't you? that the human form is reduced to essentially a cartoon-like framework upon which the clothing is draped? so it's not ultra photo-realistic. If you want photo-realism then that's a lot harder, and detracts from the purpose of the visualisation.

Taw well uhm all I want is ideas for a prom dress, but it has to be something extremely original, not something use before, so no bare back, tummy etc. I'd appretiate ideas very much, you can decide which type of realistic you want to make it

do you have anything at all in mind? is there something you've seen that you'd like it to be based on? I know what "prom" dresses traditionally look like and I have enough imagination to twist that around a bit, but can you elucidate on stuff like colour, size etc. Do you want modern materials or traditional? is it part of a sci-fi fiction theme or is it for real and you want something different?

I know it seems like I'm interrogating you, but really this is how it is, the more info you can provide as to the parameters i work to, the easier it is to give you what you're looking for trust me.

size....tightfitting round the waist, full length
colour..bright orange or red and orange
matrials doesnt really matter just as long as it looks nice and doesnt come out as a different colour on pics
No not sci-fi I just want something diffirent(im always different cant change that now)
anything else u wanna know?

sorry cant draw my speciality is converting images to embroidery designs
but as i work in the clothing industry i would state designs dont work for all shapes and sizes
so its best done by someone that knows you or at least dimensions so as to come up with a flattering style otherwise you will end up with a design you love that doesnt suit you (this still applies to stylised drawings of a concept)

a prom dress without an exposed back? What's the point

Post Sat Apr 10, 2004 4:47 am

Stinger tastes differ? Around here everybody does it, so I dont see the point in doing it

but anyhoo

There are very slinky type prom dresses, very frilly type ones, many varieties.
When you say original, do you mean like Bjork?

I don't draw so much with a pen, i mostly use Photoshop. I can draw like, space-ship sketches, and fantasy... but nothing else

Post Sat Apr 10, 2004 7:55 am

I'll drop some sketches into your email over easter. is there a time limit on this? will tomorrow or Easter Monday do?
