TOTAL ANNIHILATION IS ONE OF THE BEST GAMES EVER MADE ON THIS PLANET!!
on par with FL, Dues Ex, and michelangelo's 'David', TA is one of the easily modded, easily playabe, and easily engossable games ever released.
Included with the expansion sets TA: Core Contingencey and TA: Battle tactics, are dozens of new missions, dozens of new units and a improved GUI.
Cavedog entertainment flopped a bit with the next game TA: kingdoms, and has since gone out of buisness because TA was easily burnt.
TA is a masterpiece, and always will be!

Is that enough to prove you wrong?

Just for extra confirmation Viator, I have to agree with Arania on everything here.

TA 2 is actually being madew by much of the original Cavedog team I believe. Lets hope it's better than Kingdoms.

My favorite games would have to be Halo, Warcraft 3, Tribes 2, Battlefield 1942: DC, and Baldurs gate.

Taw - You're not missing out. TA had some good stuff, and a great variety of units, but it was pretty average, and the plot was non-exsistent. The fact that you could reclain the metal of destroyed units was quite good, but I have played many better RTS's.

oh ok, cheers you big neighing rabbit-horse thing, I thought if it was SO good I'd have been directed towards it long before now. Might have a bash if I see it around for cheap.

@Heltak: I've never been a real fan of Strategy games except, Warcraft and Starcraft. I'm looking forward to Rome: Total War and Lord of the Rings: Battle for Middle-Earth. Those ones look like fun.
